Tomlin is still on the field with the look, yes Steeler land we came to play football.
Since it was an illegally batted ball, it’s placed on the yard line that it was fumbled. I thought that the ball comes out to the 20 yard line no matter what on a touchback.

I was thinking with a penalty on the offense to defense could decline in the half would be over.
I think I called this a trap game.
Surprised? No. Disappointed? Yes!
Too much offensive firepower to have these types of games.

I'm trying to comprehend.....Bears have possession and fumble. Ball goes thru the endzone, Steelers never gain possession. I always thought defensive team takes over at the 20.

Tomlin got lucky the refs held up play for the defense to come back out. They should not have. As soon as call was made, the should have spotted the ball and let the bears run it in uncontested.

Dumbass Bears player stops running, McDonald knocked ball out at the 1, ball rolls into endzone, scramble to try and recover, and kicker bats the ball through the back of the endzone. He should have simply gathered the ball but panicked and swatted it through the endzone.
The ruling is that the Steelers were on defense at the team, and batting the ball is a penalty, untimed down, after penalty put the ball on the half yard line.
Steelers were in the locker room, had to be summoned back to the field. False start Bears, they kick FG.
Because the half can't end on a defensive penalty. the Bears had possession and the Steelers committed the foul by batted the ball out of the endzone
Why are Steelers fans not used to this? A very talented Steelers team sleepwalking against a ****** opponent.

They would have except the steelers illegally batted the ball. If the ball went out on its own, its steelers ball.
Shouldnt a pre snap penalty on an untimed down negate the play?
I though that the person that fumble the ball has to recover it in that last 2:00 minutes.
I got that, but to get it at the half yard line? If berry just lays on it it's a touch back, seems a severe penalty for batting the ball
