Great Article on Terrell Watson

Thanks Cope. This was truly a great read. The kid plays with heart and like there's no tomorrow. I hope he's in Black and Gold for a long time.

Yep, it was truly a great read. I hope every Steelers fan possible gets a chance to read it. I love how Ben just said that he trusts Terrell to pick up on the little things on the field and that he definitely knows what he's doing out there. A vote of confidence from the field general could go a long way for the young man.

I love that he kept being put on practice squads but never gave up. And now he is on a roster. Our roster. That is no small accomplishment.

Truth, and he's an upgrade to what we had in Touissant as the RB3 last year! Heck, this guy is better than Redman and Dwyer!

While I agree wholeheartedly, I still don't understand the history.

Cincinnati Bengals
After going undrafted in the 2015 NFL draft, Watson signed with the Bengals and spent the entire 2015 season on the practice squad.[6][7][8]

Cleveland Browns
On January 21, 2016, Watson signed with the Cleveland Browns.[9] On September 4, 2016, he was waived by the Browns a day after making the initial 53-man roster and was signed to the practice squad the next day.[10][11] He was released by the Browns on October 26, 2016.[12]

Denver Broncos
On November 2, 2016, Watson was signed to the Broncos' practice squad.[13] He was released by the Broncos on December 14, 2016.[14]

Philadelphia Eagles
On December 20, 2016, Watson was signed to the Eagles' practice squad.[15] He was promoted to the active roster on December 30, 2016.[16] He scored his first career touchdown on a one-yard run on January 1, 2017 against the Dallas Cowboys.[17] On May 4, 2017, he was released by the Eagles.[18]

What happened to this football talented kid that led all these teams to dump him...in most cases, in short order ?

He doesn't seem real elusive..... a one cut up field RB perhaps? So probably a situation RB, as teams often look for a RB who can do it all..................

This is definitely a guy to root for. I hope he gets some playing time and churns some yards for us.

Seems like a good guy... probably on his way to cult status here as the 3rb...
lots of feel good stories stacked behind Bell now...

Players can improve every year. He seems to be working hard on practice squads, and he is not out of the league. Much like Harrison bouncing between our PS and Baltimore's, or Villa on the Eagles PS, or even now Goodwin who was a PS WR here is now the backup RCB in Atlanta. Sometimes players are in the wrong position, and the PS helps teams find where they should be. Sometimes players just get better with more practice, repetition, and knowledge of the playbook.
