Bell signed franchise tender

Glad to see Bell cooperated with the steelers on this. It's a start to making a little amends. The timing of this signature is souled in the hands of the front office. Bell cooperated in the Timing and is showing he wants to play. Hats off to him regardless of the situation on his making. He is on his way to being the BEST RB in the NFL, God speed.

Not to be obtuse, but does that mean they can carry 54 for 2 weeks? Even as he plays?

NOT obtuse at all and I'm no expert but I think it does allow for 54. Part of the Fran tag CBA agreement. Pretty expensive if you're thinking teams may want to use we this as an advantage.

The exception stands until he's activated for a game, so they'll need to make a move by the end of this week. But don't forget it's two moves they need to make since they've also acquired JJ Wilcox.

Bell has just shown us he puts TEAM first. Wow. Who would have thought this whole time it was all for helping out the Steelers. Thanks Bell. I had you pegged all wrong. I now hope the Steelers sign you to your $15 mill or $17 mill(if your price hasn't gone up again in the last 24 hours) asking price. You are worth every penny just for helping out the TEAM.

Cut him? we know that won't be happening.

All about championship, that should be the focus when using him.

Anything less is cheating our team out of something and it comes across like we are a a butthurt school girl.
Plus you want something if you let a great talent go. Hence the non- exclusive tag next year. Would be the route I would go IFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF I couldn't resign him long term.
 
That's what concerns me most is that bell is not in football shape that's why he admitted he got winded today out there on the field this is because he missed a lot of work during camp like someone once said its like a prize fighter who doesn't spar before a fight we will see how it carries out on Sunday

I am not joking I would trade him for as much as I can get from him. I am thinking Herschel Walker type trade. Bell is in his prime, he is the best back in football and he wants to make a lot of $$. trade him and put us in a position to draft another franchise qb next year.

to me it makes sense if you find a willing partner.

For as great as Bell is, no team would trade even a single first round pick for him.

The game has changed so much, with the rules favoring the passing game, since the Walker trade.

It would probably be difficult to get even a second round pick for him.

He said today he is focused on the season.I think moving forward during the season he won't be a distraction.
 
He HAS to sign the tender if he wants to play and get paid. Same thing next year. The system is what it is. He doesn't really have a choice, like it or not.
