Roster cuts tracker: Teams trim to 53-player rosters

Is there any official cut down, only have seen Fowler items to comment on,nothing on the Newspaper that shall be nameless or steelers.com.
 
Wow, can't remember our FO being this proactive in decades. Maybe Ben has told them behind closed doors this will be his last year. Or Colbert od'd on coffee or something. I love it!

Coolie - Greg Ward cut by the Eagles.

I heard he had a good camp. Guessing they'll try to put him on PS.

BTW: I tweeted Ayers to cool the "disrespect" nonsense. Told him if keeps it up it'll become known league-wide and will hurt his career.

There are reports that he has said he won't re-sign.

I tweeted him not to be dumb. If no team offers him a roster spot, re-sign for the PS.

He's coming along, and his vested time with the Steelers will pay off. Changing cities and teams is hard.

The Steelers reduced their roster in advance of the NFL's 4 p.m. deadline today.

The Steelers have made roster moves in advance of today’s 4 p.m. deadline to trim the roster to 53 players.

The Steelers have released the following players (in alphabetical order): wide receiver Demarcus Ayers, center Ruben Carter, offensive lineman Ethan Cooper, running back Knile Davis, cornerback Brandon Dixon, center Kyle Friend, linebacker Matt Galambos, linebacker Austin Gearing, safety Malik Golden (waived/injured), cornerback Senquez Golson, safety Jacob Hagen, wide receiver Cobi Hamilton, long snapper Colin Holba, defensive end Lavon Hooks, quarterback Bart Houston, linebacker Farrington Huguenin, tight end David Johnson, linebacker Steven Johnson, defensive end Francis Kallon, linebacker Keith Kelsey, defensive end Johnny Maxey, tight end Jake McGee, offensive tackle Brian Mihalik, offensive lineman Keavon Milton, cornerback Dashaun Phillips, defensive tackle Roy Philon, offensive tackle Jake Rodgers, cornerback JaCorey Shepherd, wide receiver Justin Thomas, running back Fitzgerald Touissant, wide receiver Marcus Tucker, safety Terrish Webb and running back Trey Williams.

I don't have a problem with any of the cuts. But who is WR Justin Thomas?? Little surprised at Hagen (with other S injuries) and Holba being cut.My hopes for the practice squad: Galambos, Hagen, Hooks, Mcgee, Mihalik,and Webb.
