Has L. Bell shown up for camp yet?

Amen.
WTF choice does he but to accept the tender? Is going to quit playing football? Perhaps he can use that MSU degree to find a 12 mill a year job where he doesn't have to worry about the CTE.

He doesn't have a degree from MSU. He left his junior year. Did not graduate. Like many NFL players, it was simply the path to the draft and NFL. 12.1 million dollars is not bad for what could essentially be considered a college drop out.
Hell, I have a degree that took to many years to get and will probably never see that kind of money. I get the business, but pro sports money is ridiculous. They deserve it, but how much does a man need to live?

Unless he signs with the patriots or the Giants who desperately need a RB. And fair in this context does not mean what he is worth. That cant be determined until he hits the open market

Which is why I said he's already as good as gone. If he thinks like you do, he's gone at least. The open market will pay him more and it's his right to go get it. I just hope the Steelers squeeze every ounce of ball they can get out of him this year. Period. I hope he has a little more loyalty to the team that drafted him than you think he should, but I'm not holding out much hope based on what I've seen so far.

Just because it was fair doesnt mean he had to take it. He is an *** for wanting better then fair?

Did you read my entire post? I stated he has the right to ask for anything he wants.....why are you even arguing this? If he rejected a fair deal and wants more cash (which is his right ) most will then call him greedy. That is all I'm saying. $4 mill plus more average than the next guy. Wanting almost double the next guy. Yeah. Most would call that greedy. Infact Webster could use that as the definition of the word greedy if they wanted to.

How much does a man need to live?? Why does this reply to just him? No one questions owners of companies who keep making money. How is this any different

Because he feels like he is worth more. And that shouldnt be a problem. But some how it is

Interesting comments by Eric Green. Admits he screwed up - "I was young and immature" - and hopes Bell doesn't do the same:

Man, do I just love this "T.O." era of players and fans.

It's only a problem if you give a **** about the rest of the team being able to get signed under the salary cap and having the financial ability to keep a good team together. If you just care about yourself and your mad payday, then I guess you're right, it's no problem at all.

Every single one of you will be jumping for joy every time he scores a touchdown. So tired of all the hate. Who really cares if he isn't there. It doesn't mean ****. He wasn't gonna play in preseason games. He didn't last year. Him and every player on that team are friends. He will fit right back in as soon as he gets there. He will show up in 2 weeks and practice for a few weeks. No one will even give two ***** about if he held out if he has 2500 all purpose yards. And it isn't like he's eating Doritos and playing Xbox. He's training his *** off in Florida. Hes in the best shape of his life. Stop acting like hypocrites. The NFL is a business. He's doing what his agent is telling him to do. He has no leverage so he's attempting to gain a little bit but it's really accomplishing nothing. Oh well. Hines held out and everyone still sucks his dick.

bingo. Some of the **** talkers in this thread are being absolutely ridiculous

Top-end football players have been playing hard ball for money since the advent of free agency a quarter century ago. This is nothing new

I also love fans who dont keep up with info thats easily availble..The steelers are under the cap. Also the cap has gone up and will continue to because the owners colluded and kept the players from money that should of been included in the last labor deal. So the cap is not an issue at the moment.

There's the Pittsburgh Steelers and then Le'Veon Bell. Just above all of that team nonsense. Maybe they can stick a cardboard cutout of him in Latrobe and it do the work for him.

I strongly feel that if there was a long term contract in the works fans would have a little more patience with the situation.

But when you have no way of getting that this leave of absence is right up there with his rap career. Just bone stupid.

Paying somebody 1.25 x more than any other player at that position is just stupid. The Steelers won't do it.

They already offered him 1.5 times the next highest paid by offering him 12+ million per year with 14 million per the first 3 years. I seriously doubt they will go higher than that next year. Again, I still think he is taking a big gamble this year based on his track history of suspensions and injuries and the fact that we have a great WR group back this year (assuming healthy). He won't get as many catches this year as we will actually have WR's to take on that burden.

Or the reverse can happen with so much attention being paid to the WRs downfield he will have less attention on him out the backfield. Also 14 per the first three years where did you see those numbers? Would like to read it

By the way, its ironic for me to see a banner ad for LB26 gear when I login here. I wouldn't pay a penny for his gear after this holdout crap.
