ESPN's Jamison Hensley believes the Ravens are the "best fit" for free agent LeGarrette Blount.
The Lions and Giants have been the teams most connected to Blount, but the Baltimore fit makes plenty of sense. The Ravens didn't draft a running back and currently have Terrance West atop the depth chart for early-down duties with Danny Woodhead as the pass-game back. Kenneth Dixon is suspended the first four games.
Blount fits the Ravens' M.O. as a team wanting to get back to running the ball with authority. Free agents signed after Tuesday no longer factor into the 2018 compensatory pick formula, and Ravens GM Ozzie Newsome is one of the most aware of those picks. Blount should find a home soon.
