Looks athletic with good feet. Kinda similar to Villanueva in terms of size, athleticism, and late position change. Not counting him out to make the 53 man but it would be an uphill battle for sure.

Aren't we really thin at tackle right now? I'm kind of surprised we didn't draft a tackle at some point but this makes sense.

If Villanueva or Gilbert goes down, not sure who's next up. The LSU kid that hasn't played an NFL snap?

I think they liked what they saw of Hawkins in a short view. If he stays healthy I think he will be the one rotated in.

let's not overlook that Mihalik is a converted DE.
so we have that going for us.

essentially, we have Villanueva, Gilbert and Hawkins for OT.
I'd hope we keep one more OT - and that should come down to between Mihalik and our new turd.

Mihalik is a interesting prospect. Can they strike gold much like they did with Villanueva ?

I dunno that Villanueva didn't seem like the norm. He had a little bit more heart that the average joe iMO.

Not that Munchak isn't capable of developing talent, he is.

One of the best to lace 'em up. As a positional coach you can't get much better.

So our backup T competition will be a fun one to watch, how it shakes out...........

Hubbard actually looked good at OT. He looks awful at OG but for some reason he looks capable at OT. More competition the better I say and you know someone will get hurt so we need all the depth we can have.
