Keenan Lewis taking physical today

Has he learned to put his zone skills to use and become a FS getting torched on an island playing man CB down in NOLA? An island he couldn't get too fast enough in his exit from PIT. But now he's years older and coming off injury so I'm sure that will help. WTH? Enough of the only free agents worth pursuing are old retreads philosophy. Liked him years ago before he left, but with the number of CBs we have to sort through I'd pass unless he truly is an option at S.

Lewis did play some man coverage here, off man mostly, but he did do it. I think the difference is, here, he was asked to play it some. In New Orleans, it is what he did all the time. It should be noted too that in his first two seasons in NO, they loved the guy, he was their best corner. Just saying. They did not fall out of favor until he got hurt. He had a torn MCL, torn labrum in his hip, and a sports hernia. He missed a year (on IR) and was going to be rehabbing the 2nd season. So, they just released him and moved on. If he can return to form, he would be one of our top 5 corners.

Just don't feel a return to form is likely given age and recent injury history TMC. If he signs vet min for competition I guess that can't hurt too much. You are correct that if he were to return to form he would be a top 5 corner on our team, that's just a very big IF at this stage of his career.

I couldn't find if they signed him, maybe a smoke screen. Maybe he's NOT ready to play as of yet???? Like I said, if you want 10yard cushions............ Then I see a possibility but ONLY if healed fully and with out any fluid missing.....

Salute the nation

He's worth a chance... he'll they kept Golson and he hasn't played A single down yet

Bouchette said they probably won't sign him. I didn't realize he's going to be 31 too

Maybe more to do with two CBs drafted and another signed in the offseason. A pretty good amount of options.

if he's brought then is a fight between both the vets (Lewis, Gay) and Golson for two roster spots out of 6:
1- Burns
2- Cockrell
3.4- 2 out of Lewis / Golson /Gay
5- Conner
6- Allen (he will be snatched from the PS)

some camp competition would be nice

Not sure if you mean Sutton or Sensabaugh

thanks, thinking of Sutton. And totally forgot about Sensabaugh,
1- Burns
2- Cockrell
3.4- 2 out of Lewis / Golson /Gay / Sensabaugh
5- Sutton
6- Allen (he will be snatched from the PS)

Yep - put on paper like this, I think I am happy with what Tombert has done with this position group. They didn't add any guaranteed game-changers to the room, but now all of a sudden we have gone from no depth to a lot of depth, and the likelihood of at least a couple of these guys rising to the top is pretty good. While last year we had GayCockBurns, this year we have more experienced Burns, Cockrell with better support, a slot guy who WON'T be on his last legs - most likely Sensabaugh or Golson, with Sutton and Allen pushing and hopefully creating enough competition to raise the level of play above them. I am so much more confident in our secondary now than I was at the end of the season

just wait a week till mini camp is to start and offer revis 1.5 mill base take it or leave, once if we sign see if he can play S in sub packages

revis is not a good tackler, why would you want him as a S?
