this is something stupid draft teams do, not good ones.

Can't say I like the pick at all...I'm sure there was another OLB or DE we could have reached on instead...
Apparently this kid was one of only two draftable long snappers in this years class. I assume with Greg Warren being 35 the Steelers decided to draft his replacement rather than bidding for his services in free agency...
Well thank god we drafted a LS. What on earth would we have done otherwise?

Colbert said they drafted the kid to.come in and compete. No mention of anything about Warren contemplating retirement. Said most college longsnappers didn't have the required size to compete at NFL level but this kid did.

.. oh you mean you can sign guys after the draft who weren't drafted? ..
Quick, name the last five Steelers 6th round picks and their current employer... and then consider if you should really be disappointed or not.
Not sure we need to see who you wild have drafted. Since it doesn't matter anyway...Yes, and here's the truth. Most years no long snapper is drafted. Warren is older, so this means any priority free agent long snapper would love to try out of the Steelers.
We spent s 6th on a Long Snapper. Um, okay.
Years back we drafted Kendall Gammon in the 11th round, which today is a rookie free agent.
Will do my who I would have drafted thread on Monday
