Any chance of moving up in 2nd for...

I'll be elated with either Sidney or Josh Jones...

I have no idea why everyone wants Sidney Jones. Love the healthy player, hate the guy who has an Achilles injury and won't contribute anything in 2017. That's a pick that makes a lot more sense for teams that suck and have lots of picks (Browns, 49ers etc.)

Cunningham is still available also. Don't think he last that long but he's still in play.

I personally think Sidney will play this year. Maybe not right away but I think so...

He's Marcus Peters 2.0

If he's there my pick is Zay Jones. Too much value to pass on there and you just cannot be stuck with relying on Coates and committee as the #2 this year. Bryant is too risky with one more slip up and he's gone.
You still have two 3's to get a quality safety and CB.

I like both the corners from Colorado. Josh Jones S NC State. WR Godwin from Penn St. Would love to see us get to DB's and a WR tonight.

I am hoping Steelers get one of the two. I would say Baker or the Colorado CB, but I expect them to both be long gone bottom of two.

Based on the trade value chart, the Steelers 4th and 6th round picks would only move them up 4-5 spots.

If we gave traded our 2nd and pick 105, we are picking either 53 or 54. Throw in pick 173 and we are at pick 51.

Losing our second 3rd rounder might be a hard pill to swallow but if the pick you really want is there at 51 and you are afraid of a run on that position, is the guy you end up with at 105 going to make up for that?

why I am hoping for it, is the same reason I was hoping the Steelers would shy away from drafting a QB early.

I feel the last few years they have been inching closer to something special. And I just would love the Steelers to be aggressive to get that corner who can either be a upgrade on the outside or be a upgrade covering the slot. Help shore up a weakness that is helping contributing to falling short.

Last year three areas let to that IMO, if not four/five.

A pass rush that often fell short.
A pass defense that fell short when it mattered.
A running game that fell short when Bell went down.
A Number 2 WR spot that fell short for many of reasons. Primarily Coates and BRyant.
A TE that fell short in delivering his potential in Green.

I feel in 1 the chips luckily fell in place to land Watt and will help shore up the pass rush.

But the second area of weakness if not the biggest is upgrading a declining Gay.

Maybe the guy who can helps falls to the Steelers like Watt did. But being soooooooooo close, a part of me wishes in 2 they would be a little more aggressive.

scroll down the list... right around Zay Jones is the talent pool where we should be picking from.
