what would we have to give up to obtain a spot for someone like Baker?
I think we'll sit still again. It'll painful to watch a bunch of those names come off the board, but we'll still get a much better DB at pick #62 than we would in most draft years.

I can't see Tomlin doing any of this movement. He still drafts players that may have an upside, he likes this attitude on the draft. Time is running out on this team under Ben, we need a defense that can play now not a training lesson for the future.
We don't move up much so if we do it better be a sure thing. A lot of the pre-draft love is ramped up in the mocks, but the team does a good job of not jeopardizing future drafts by getting to antsy. Right now I think we stay put unless they are willing to part with one of our two 3rd rounders. I think those two 3rd round picks are huge for us.

Would love it if we moved up for Awuzie or Baker. Can't believe we moved up for Landry Jones (or was it Shamarko?) even though that was in the 4th round?

If someone good slides down to 13 there is a deal in the works with Pit SW that would send their pick 2/13 in exchange for our 2/30...all we have to do is take Uncle Jarvis back.
ha, ha. We do have that extra 3rd, so I could see us trading up maybe with our 4th and a 6th. Moreau and Awuzie are the two best cb's left. Budda is available too. If those guys drop to mid 2nd, I coulls see us try and move up. Like Budda, but prefer a starter to challenge Ross.
i think if you want anyone on that list,, you need to trade up. I could be wrong,,

Looking at the board I think if they sit Jourdan Lewis or Obi Melifonwu might slide to us.
We might get lucky, there's about a 20% chance IMO that we can land a highly rated DB @ 62 I see about 25 prospects with late1st round numbers left and 9 of them are DB's
Lewis is so slight of build and has character issues. Considering our extra third, I would use my 4th and a 6th to move up into the middle of rd 2 for one of the top 3 corners left, or maybe Baker.

We drafted for need in the first round..
Now its best player available at the bottom of round 2..
Disagree..we need a other starting corner. You could trade up for Moreau, for example, and he may start for us for 10 yrs. I'm guessing we will stay where we are and draft Goodwin, but I don't agree with that. We need to win now and we lack starting cb depth big time. Gay isn't a starter anymore, and who knows on Golson.
Based on the trade value chart, the Steelers 4th and 6th round picks would only move them up 4-5 spots.
I think we can get all the way to pick #33 if we throw in Fu to sweeten the pot.
I'm really not interested in guys who won't get on the field until 2018. Teams that expect to be horrible in 2017 will probably jump on Jones before it would make sense for us.
