What would be a worthy trade for Sherman and at 29 is he worth the risk?

Here is the story I read today. Seattle is willing to deal.

Probably wants the moon, but if a reasonable could be reached he would be an upgrade, IMO, for sure. Thoughts?

I'd trade our first round pick for him as long as he passes a physical. He's an elite level player at a position of need.

I read New England wants him.

I'd imagine he has a massive salary cap hit. Seattle is pretty smart with talent decisions. I'd be wary. But jeez it looks like the Pat's are trying to get 7 or 8 in the Brady Era.

Meh. We probably would play him with a 10 yd cushion on 3rd and 1 anyways.

offer them the 2nd rounder, instant probowl CB for at least two seasons

If they are taking pick 60 he is either team cancer or his play has fallen off the cliff. Seattle's FO is way smarter than Pittsburgh. This isn't the Browns we are talking about.

His game is grabbing, holding, wrapping and that is before the ball is out of the QB's hands. He was an elite CB but at this point I think the Hawks know he will start getting a ton of flags. Ike Taylor started doing the same thing around 30 and it worked for about a season until the refs realized he wasn't that good anymore he just held on to dear life trying to stick with the receiver.

if we are bringing him is with a ref clause that confirms he can keep doing in B & G all the **** he did to AB without getting flagged

Pass! Lets get younger and keep our draft picks and use them to draft younger players and not waste them on guys who are 29 and best years behind him and a big salary cap number. There is a reason they're offering him up as trade bait.

If Richard Sherman were to play his game in a Steelers uniform he'd be constantly flagged. Notice the lack of flags when Harrison is held. Now turn the tables. Steelers defenders draw flags. I'm surprised the team doesnt get flagged for some made up bullshit like their pants being too yellow or having the logo on one side or some ****. I'd love a playmaker like Sherman on the Steelers. But there is no way his style of play would hold up in a Steelers uniform. Our guys just draw flags

lol

oh.
richard sherman now?

you people won't ever learn

I think he's a locker room cancer. He's like a Kaepernick with dreads.

Here is what the article said his cap hit is, "Sherman has two years remaining on his contract. He is due $11.431 million guaranteed in 2017 and $11 million in 2018. Sherman has never missed a game in his six-year NFL career and has made the Pro Bowl four seasons in a row."

I could just see Sherman and AB trying to out do each other for camera / face / attention / time in every aspect of the game. Especially POST game interviews..............

Yea I can see it now, Sherman coming in and thinking he the "new" face of the franchise and people want to hear what he has to say (no one cares what he has to say), AB thinking he has seniority and is the main attraction, MEANwhile Ben retires after the season with a big **** YOU stamped on his *** as he walks out the door...........

Salute the nation

I'd take him in a heartbeat. I think he'd fit in well and like it here.

Is Carnell OK this year or is he out for the season?

Don't worry - Pats will pick him up, they are interested

Pats in on Sherman if losing Butler

The Boston Herald's Jeff Howe reports the Patriots would "very likely increase their focus" on acquiring Richard Sherman if they lose restricted free agent Malcolm Butler.

Per Howe, "nothing is imminent" with a Sherman trade, but there's a "real possibility" he's dealt by the draft. If the Patriots flip Butler and get a first-rounder in return, they could flip that first-rounder to Seattle for Sherman. Multiple teams are in the market for Sherman, according to Howe, and other clubs are pursuing him harder than New England. Where there's smoke there's fire.

I hate the fact that the Pats are smarter than us.

it would be nice if Seattle told the Pats to take a hike, they are not getting richer by acquiring Sherman, but that will not happen if NE dangles a enough golden carrots for him.
