And that is what most of us continue to be frustrated with. Every time Tomlin faces Brady he insists on this zone crap and the results are always the same. So is it stupidity, arrogance, trying to force your system that's a antiquated? What is it with this guy?

Tomlin went to two super bowls with that group of players Cowher went to one correctMaths??????
I brought that up in another thread too, there was no intensity or excitement on our part, but you'll soon get bashed for that
How the **** are they supposed to do that when the NFL does not allow that type of football. It stopped in 2009.
Yeah for real. We didn't get the dirtiest tag for playing patty cake.Apparently they didn't see Bud Dupree, Sean Davis, and Ryan Shazier light up a couple of offensive players only to be penalized and fined each and every time.

will be gone next year.Senquez and Ladarius
will be gone next year.
I swear if one more of you ************* mention Ladarius Green...
The offense was seriously hamstrung, but they STILL played just well enough to win the game had Cobi managed to hang on to some balls and had he not done the out of bounds / back in bounds thing and had Sammie Coates not been in the game and Ayers been in there instead. (He wants the ******' job.)
Bell's injury was huge. He had 9 yards on just 2 carries. He was going to be able to move the ball, but him being out changed pretty much everything. Thanks to Tomlin and Haley for running him 200 carries in the last 5 games. How could they have possibly foreseen an injury?
I do expect the defensive players were frustrated by the coverage and the ease with which the P*ts moved down the field on their first possession. It may have been wiser for the offense to take the ball first. I assume Tomlin was hoping for a big stop and a score to "set the tone". Well, the tone was certainly set. Clearly the Steelers brought plenty of KY to the game. I'm sure Br*dy appreciated THAT.

Did he not go to two bowls with the same group of players??Your reading-comprehension skills as bad just as your passion driven comments on Tomlin.

Your point the third year they didn't make it to the playoffs. So that's AFC championship loss super bowl win no playoffs in three years with those playersLOL, Nevermind that Cowher only had Ben for 2 years. The first year they go to the AFCC and the second year they win the SB. Spin, Spin, Spin

I think Tomlin deserves credit for getting this team as far as he did. And I have been a guy who really lost faith in Tomlin. But let's look at it.
I stated after training camp that it had to be one of the biggest wastes of time I can ever recall. I felt they had three things they needed to get some clarity on before they started the season. The TE position, the defensive backfield and some pass rush out of the OLB. Well, ****, they accomplished none of that in camp, and may have gone backwards with injuries and stuff. That is a tough way to start the year. And they go 4-1 out the gate. Then it caught them a bit during that 4 game losing streak. But Tomlin stuck with it, the DBs showed improvement, the pass rush still is lacking, and while James showed improvement, the rest is a crap shoot. The WR position, which we all thought would be strong, turned out at the end to almost be a liability. With some of those problems to make it to the AFCC game ain't bad. I know it was tough to watch that NE game, but man up and quit wah, wahing. It's over.
And when they both had the QB and defenses they won. The difference when Cowher only had the defenses the excuse for him now is well he didn't have the QB. Tomlin has the QB and when the defense had to be replaced Alot wanted it built right now. No room for mistakes get it together right now. We are wasting Ben's years. Well that defense is getting close even though that young defense was torched last Sunday. Brady has done that to our best defenses.
My question is this most here consider Don Shula a legendary coach correct? Well Don had Marino and never won with him. A franchise QB is a great asset to have but it doesn't guarantee anything. Still have to put together a team. And as some loved to say when we were 8-8 back to back the arrow is not pointing down it's up. With some more pieces and some luck we can maybe get back to the big game.

He will address all kinds of needs and still preside over a team of stupid kids who drop the mic when they do expected things, and the rest who make stupid plays every game. This team is a joke to everyone who knows what a serious contender should act like. All you ******** who say we should be happy that we are not Cleveland or Cincinati can suck my balls. We never were them, and they are not even close to a benchmark for the Steelers.Tomlin has been working with the tools he's dealt with. Before this season, the previous two playoff appearances were offense heavy, defensively weak team. I think Tomlin had a good bit of production from both sides of the ball. I'm sure he'll address the needs of the team over the off season. I give Tomlin credit, he is not a bad coach at all
