Who's contracts are up?
What free agents should we target?
I believe I saw that we picked 30th. What should we target? I saw a mock that had us go TE, i feel that would be a reach. We need help elsewhere.

Oh who ******* cares?

Let's play "What useless ******* player will Tomlin pick next?"

Where do we sit as far as salary cap? How much do we have to spend?

We need a speed rusher first and foremost. And then id go after a TE/LB in the 2nd or 3rd round.

4th, 5th, 6th and 7th you address RB,WR,OL,CB

We aren't far off from being a top team. We need to shore up the #2 WR so Bryant coming around is huge. Having another productive TE weapon helps in the redzone.

Defensively, we were young in the secondary..but will grow...but we need to have a pass rushing DE or OLB. Dupree took a step forward this last half of the season and I love the promise of Hargrave to pair with Tuitt and Heyward.

This loss last night is not a reason to panic.....we let a few drops kill momentum and breakdowns in coverage. We aren't that far away.

Shades has already said that Deebo will retire when Deebo wants to retire and no one tells him what to do.
Bell will get tagged. He doesn't have a choice.
Jarvis will let the screen door hit him on the way out. It will be the only thing he hit all year.
Green will be released if he doesn't retire. I can't see keeping him.

It won't matter until we change what the hell we're doing on defense and offense. How much talent does one team need before it's enough? You could put rod Woodson,Mel Blount and Ike Taylor. If they're 10 yards off the ******* wr the same result will happen. Time to trash some things .

So youre suggesting Davis, Burns, Hargraves, Dupree and Shazier are garbage ?

I'm suggesting that with Tomlin Haley and Butler coaching it doesn't ******* matter who they draft, particularly at #30.

IF the ****** ever sees the field as a defender he'll be put in a no-win situation against any team worth a ****, as an offensive player he'll be asked to ram his ******* head into a wall of meat. Cause the coaches are too ******* stubborn to come up with something different than "Well hell, that's how Daddy done did it..."

Let's see. With our amazing coaching yesterday -

* Shazier got an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty.

* Hargraves got a meaningless sack that ultimately delayed a few touchdowns.

* Burns did a great job of looking depressed on the bench.

* Dupree and Davis were pretty impressive as invisible men. I think if they make a "Hollow Man 3", they would be definite call-backs for the casting folks.

Yep, with Butler as the DC, they can draft pretty much ANYBODY! G'Dang. It's an exciting time to be a Steeler fan! There's virtually no limit to how much Butler can **** up in big games. That always gives the fans something to look forward to.

IMO, this draft and next are extremely crucial to our next 5-10 years.
we absolutely need to hit on our picks moreso than previously.

With Ben getting closer to the end of his career, we'll need to find a replacement. I don't really see one in this draft. Which means we absolutely need to find players at other positions of pure need.

first, OLB.
Uncle Jarvis should be packing his locker now. Gone. c-ya. JAG.
Badly outplayed by a man 10+ years older. And that man is at the end of his career.

i'll go on record as saying I hope OLB Tim Williams, Bama, (6'3, 236) falls to us in the First.

Second round, we need to to address our secondary. Gay's at the end of his career and Mitchell is JAG.
Cam Sutton, CB, Tennessee (6'1, 190) would be a very nice addition.

Third, assuming we sign Bell, we still need a backup RB. DeAngelo's at the end of his career.
Wayne Gallman, RB, Clemson

Fourth - Tedric Thompson, S, Colorado (6'0", 205).

Fifth - Rasul Douglas, CB, West Virginia (6'2, 203)

You're killing me, Smalls. :smile-new:

That was one of the worst penalties we have seen all season. His head was 3 ' off the turf on a receiver ducking down how is he supposed to avoid head contact? Last I checked it was supposed to be a penalty for a ball carrier to lower the crown of his helmet, why is that never called?

* Hargraves got a meaningless sack that ultimately delayed a few touchdowns.

So, which sacks have meaning and which ones don't? Is that a line item in the record book.

* Burns did a great job of looking depressed on the bench.

Burns played a pretty solid game given the **** game plan he was dealt.

* Dupree and Davis were pretty impressive as invisible men. I think if they make a "Hollow Man 3", they would be definite call-backs for the casting folks.

Christ, Dupree was running all over the field playing zone coverage instead of rushing the passer, same with Harrison. Trying to evaluate Davis or Burns while we are playing in our stay puff zone is pointless. Let them go man-up and then lets evaluate their ball hawking abilities.

In other words, our players aren't being used properly, would look good somewhere else, and would probably sign for vet minimum.

Have you been following my slathering rants? This is what I'm bitching about. Not the players. I LOVE our players. But what use are they when our ******* functional retard DC has them 10 yards off the line of scrimage jerking off to Madonna while receivers run unchecked into the secondary?

It doesn't matter if you have the greatest pass rushers on the planet if you use them as deep cover 2 corners. It doesn't matter if you have the best receiver on earth if you use him as a ******* center.

The coaches seem absolutely ******* determined to impose their will upon other teams. It would seem that last night the coaches will was to get fisted on live television. That **** used to be illegal. That wasn't even cable. You used to have to watch on satellite for that kind of porn.

Was just listening to Hines Ward's interview of Blunt were he (Blunt) said that they stay disciplined and stick to their game plan. The Steelers stick to their game plan too, even when it doesn't work.

was hoping to talk more about the off season vs rants about the game. there are a lot of threads about that already.
