I say we trade up for Tim Williams the pass rusher from Alabama. We are in a position where we can trade up, it's not like, with our current team composition, we need to stockpile picks and players. What say you?

Are we really in a position where we can trade up? I mean we definitely need an OLB, however, we also (imho) need a CB, a #2 WR, a TE and a RB.

We've got some cap space, so it will be interesting to see what happens in FA. Upgrade where you can in FA and then see what's available during the draft.

I agree that we need a RB, but I think we can use a mid or low round pick there. I actually wouldn't mind taking our chances with James as the #1 TE moving forward. He has been one of our best offensive weapons for weeks. I think we do have a #2 WR in Martavis, and between Wheaton, Rogers, and Ayers, we're good (or at least don't need to use a high round pick). With Golson coming back (maybe?), Burns improvement, I think we are better at CB than meets the eye - but yes I would love to upgrade the position this offseason. But I think we have an opportunity to use draft resources to move up for a real playmaker and I truly believe Tim Williams was born to play OLB for the Steelers.

But I agree - would be nice to see some FA upgrading. CB or OLB will do

I'll post it again....Brandon Wilson CB out of UH....5'11" 200#....good solid tackler..guy scored on Kick Returns, Int returns, on offense at RB with rushing and receiving TDs and a 109.9 yard missed field goal against OU....

I have no issue with the Steelers not spending big bucks on a FA....Osweiler is proof that is a crap shoot and Green hasn't exactly been a huge success

Team needs a OLB/CB/TE/ILBer/WR

Green had question marks, and Os wasn'ta proven QB for that short body of work.

Neither means you can sit on your hands and not try to fill holes.

If they want to take that final step they need to fortify weak spots on the team. Free agency can be a quick fix if you pick the right players.............

I don't think we need a #2 WR, we have Rogers, Ayers, and Bryant coming back. We can grab a cheap vet for depth in FA.

Jesse J. is a serviceable TE, we an get by with him and Grimble if the rest of the Receiving core is solid. (However, if we can't trade up for a pass rusher, I'd like that TE from Alabama)

Our CBs are very young, aside from Gay. Do we really need another first year CB? Will he make us better? Get a mid-level FA with experience to anchor the young guys.

And RBs are a dime a dozen, we can draft one late or pick up a cut player after camp.

So yes, I think we can afford to trade up for a blue chip player if one of the teams up there will play ball with us.

Bryant is a question mark
CB needs a upgrade across from Burns
no WR is number 2 material outside of Bryant
Jesse James is a solid number two TE
Someone is needed opposite of Dupree.

Oh, we NEED a #2 WR. Rogers is a good slot receiver and Ayers is a good "jack of all trades" receiver, but, Bryant is the only other WR we have right now that teams HAVE to game plan for and I'd sure rather not put all my eggs in the basket labeled "Martavis stays clean".

Jesse James is good. He's grown each of the last two seasons and I think he'll be better than serviceable. What happens if he gets hurt? Grimble is "OK". I think they can and should upgrade over Grimble and if the opportunity is there to get someone who might also develop into an upgrade over Jesse or form a great tandem with him, I'm taking it (probably not Rd 1 though).

We need at least a developmental CB who has the ability to play man to man.

I'm not saying that we can't move up ... I'm just saying that draft picks are a limited commodity and giving up multiples for one position when we have needs at several ... well, that might not be something we SHOULD do.

OLB, WR, OLB, RB, DL, WR, DL.. maybe a TE.

Draft those positons in that order.

This team needs major help at WR, Martavis isn't a guarantee.

Trade Tomlin and Brown to Cleveland for both of their 1st rounders. Championship!

I'm willing to bet that Bryant will turn it around! In interviews he seems like a new man!

Last year we had a good draft, yielding what will hopefully be a few long term starters. But most drafts we get maybe one decent player in the first 4 rounds, we can afford to give up a couple of those picks for one or two years, IF we get a real player out of it.

i'd like to draft a qb within the first 3 rounds. i've had enough of landry jones

The draft is deep at RB and TE. Because the draft is so deep, we might be able to get a free agent RB for cheap. Same with TE. James is good enough and getting better. Grimble has some upside as a receiver. Hard to say if you can count on Green at all. If Green is a acratch then there are lots of TE prospects in the draft.

OLB is by far the biggest need. Dupree looks like he may be the answer on one side but we need another, badly. They need to spend multiple picks on OLB to make sure they get one. Having a "spare" is a good problem to have because he'd be a special teamer.

It is unbelievable that WR is a need. Can you trust Martavis? One more slip and he's gone. Rogers is a good slot guy but they need another outside WR. Maybe you can sign Wheaton cheap but he's still never proven himself dependable.
