Great win, but we did get a bit lucky
We are winning despite this guy. The Steelers have the best trio in the league in the killer b's and we need a record setting performance from our kicker.
The ball is at the 4 or 5 yard line, they can't stop Bell, and they decide to get cute and turn the ball over. Is it Haley or is it Ben? They both need to realize they would be watching the playoffs from they're couches if it wasn't for Bell. He needs to have the ball every time in that situation. Sounds crazy but I like our chances better with an extra linemen and Nix out there running the ball on every down in the redzone.

At this point, almost every time Ben drops back to pass I cringe until it's caught or incomplete. I just don't have a good feeling about his passing ability at the moment. I would not be surprised to find out after it's all over that he's hurt.

First series, they were on the 4 yard line with 2 yards to go for a first, and threw it twice. KC couldn't stop the run. Whoever called those plays is a moron.

After the INT, again inside the 10, Ben audibles out, another stupid decision.

I get the same exact feeling. Lately it seems like he's reverted back to early in his career where alot of passed would sail on him. Last night he even did a Kordell worm burner imitation that somehow Brown managed to catch.

He's going to have to do much better cone Sunday.

I'm so tired of this narrative. Tell Antonio and Eli to hang onto the ******* passes that hit them in the hands.

What about the ones that they have to scrape off the turf or the pass to Eli that should have lead him into the end zone but instead was behind the shoulder?

Ben is not immune to criticism. He's been making some lousy throws and some equally lousy decisions because of his ego.

You do realize Ben completed 70% of his passes, hit the game winner and if AB and Eli catch those TDs his rating is in the mid to upper 90's and completion% over 70

jesse James - big first half, not much 2nd half. Haley? Or KC defensive adjustment?

Ben was off that was consensus at my house.

By the end of the game.. You could feel/ see KC Stacking the box, Yet you felt like you couldn't pass . Like the deep ball wasn't even an option allll game.

The passing calls at the end of the game got us out of trouble, and they worked.

And that's a credit to the receivers. How many times do they have to play contortionist to come up with the ball?

Then when they don't it's " oh ya gotta catch that!" Please, Ben's game has been off and its not blasphemy to say it.

Eric Berry was in the box all night. They were basically daring Ben to throw the ball.

The first time we got down there Bell and the line were gashing them. There was ZERO reason to throw there. We left four points on the board. The second time Ben checked out of a run for some reason? Rewatch it, there was a safety cheating over there too, AB had nothing to check to. We won the game, that's all that counts.

If folks take issue with people questioning bad plays, and bad play calls from others that's their problem. Not everybody is a sunshine and rainbows, nobody in the organization can make a mistake type of fan. And I'll let you in on a secret, neither type of fan is any better than the other. It was a huge win on the road against a real good defensive team. Credit the defense, OL and ST for being great almost the entire game. Tighten up a little bit and NE can be beat.

Exactly. Top post in this thread. The Pats will exploit anything we don't capitalize on. As you said tighten it up and that includes Ben(blasphemy to criticize him for some I know) and they can be beat.

Ben had a decent game, came through when it counted. I just think Le veon is our best option right now especially in the redzone. Ben is a great QB, no doubt, I wouldn't trade him for anyone. But bell is on fire, not just playing great but breaking records and making history, give him the ball..Like the other week when they handed him the ball on every single down and he ran it right down the field for like 82 yards or something ridiculous.
Just saying no need to get fancy in the redzone, why go away from whats been working all year?

Never said you can't criticize him, but do you watch other games? I mean really, Brady missing open guys, Rodgers under throwing wide open guys, who come back and make a play. Some of you ***** about the completed passes even, it's like he can't miss one throw.
And then it's forbidden to bring up dropped TDs.

I wanted Bell to get the ball down there too, but it's funny you read the game thread and we get the ball back up 18-10, we run three straight runs with Bell to kill clock and fans are bitching we are running to much

I watch a lot of football, but the Steelers are my favorite team. I don't care if Brady throws 100 pics in a row, I don't like the Patriots. Nothing should be forbidden on a fan message board, good or bad. I can be elated that we are going to the AFCCG and still talk about what we could have done better. For some it's either all love or all salt, I'm not that guy. Me saying Ben made a couple bad throws doesn't mean it's alright for guys to drop passes? It makes me different than most, and I'm good with it. The *Patsies are in trouble, bet on it.

Regarding Ben : Did you notice he stayed in pocket the whole game. The last play,, he rolled right,, and look what it did. . Just an observation.

Ben is better QB outside of the pocket, he always has been.

All that needs to be said. End of story. There were plays to be made and they weren't made so the first thing people want to do is blame Haley or Ben.

It's a funny thing, when it works it's great, when it doesn't it's not. I'm all for playing to win and being aggressive, but the old adage if it ain't broke, don't fix it applies in certain situations too. We got the W on the road against a good defensive team. All the rest is just opinion and fan talk.
