The curse doesn't take effect in this case. It only applies to opposing players or people in the public eye that desecrate The Towel...such as the mayor of Phoenix.
If the curse applied to fans then we would never lose a game.lol

1995 San Diego ekes by Steelers in AFC Championship game. Post game a Charger desecrates The Towel. The Charges go on to suffer one of the most humiliating and lopsided defeats in Super Bowl history.
2005 Houshmanzda wipes his shoes with The Towel. Carson wrecks his knee in playoff game.
2008 Two Titan players desecrate The Towel. The heavy Super Bowl favorites lose the season finale, and are eliminated in the first round of the playoffs. They then lose their first six games the following year.
2009 Mayor of Phoenix mocks towel, then hands it over to mascot who wipes his underarms with it. The Cardinals lose their first ever Super Bowl appearance in heartbreaking fashion....James Harrisons record breaking 100yd TD run after an interception and Holme's miraculous TD catch.
2016 Marvin Lewis apparently forgot to let this new group of players know that you don't **** with The Towel. ..up 20 -9 at the half. End up getting shut out the second half and losing.
This was the bungles second offense. Expect the bungles to have Cleveland Stain type of season next year.
