Get over it. Want to play in the tourney? Don't lose to Pitt, or Missedagain by 39. Better yet, beat us next year at our house. TWO losses on the season. That's what kept PSU out.

Im not a psu fan and i can safely say ohio state shouldnt have been there... they struggked in their last two games and should have lost to michigan... they got exactly the embarrassment they deserved

lol it's going to be hilarious listening to people talk about how "penn state would've given them a game!...n stuff" for the next couple days.

Penn State absolutely would have given Bama a better game than Washington. The playoff should have been Bama, Clemson, Penn State, USC. Those were the 4 best teams by the end of the year for anybody watching games and not just looking at records.

Ohio State had a good resume for the playoff, so it doesn't bother me that they made it, but Washington never belonged. They beat nobody this year.

What am I going to eat? Y'all still got a game to play. I'd probably wait until that game is over before I went around pumping my chest.
PSU lost two games... you took your destiny out of your own hands. If you think you could have done better, you have no one but yourselves to blame for not being there. No one.
soooo ... I guess .. Yeah .. you can eat that if it means that much to you.

Otherwise it's still a GREAT day ... Still enjoying life .. and all this ... well, while I would have loved to have pumped MY chest, it isn't to be. So, I'll head on out to the New Years Eve party, drink some drinks, eat some food ... Kiss the fiance when the ball drops and bring the New Year in with a bang.

Hope you have the same type of experience Turd

I'm not pumping any chest....matter of fact, any person who has any sort of understanding of football knows it's not Win/Loss records that determines the best teams. Hell, if that's the case...the Pats and Manning led Colts would play in Super Bowl every year and the Steelers would have never won a SB ten years ago right? It's all about your regular season W/L. Honestly, USC and PSU both would have put a better fight tonight than these chumps. But yeah, it's all about the records right? I could give two-***** if PSU loses to USC on Monday by 50 points because I know those are better teams than what was presented today. You can care in my place.

As a fan of the team, I will say that OSU ought to be completely ashamed of themselves after the performance they put on tonight. It was a joke. JT Barrett needs to get on with his life's work because he stinks.

yep, that ain't no lie, a true ***-whooping tonight. BUT, a good chunk of this team is underclassmen, I expect them to come back in a big way next season.

Urban mollycoddled JT last year because he knew Cardale wasn't coming back. He didn't allow the Haskins kid to compete for the starting job this year and decided to redshirt him instead. I hope that JT is gone next year and Haskins is allowed to compete because obviously he doesn't trust Barrows since he never allowed him to even sniff the field all year while Barrett drove the ship into an iceberg.

The team that should hang their heads is MIchigan. They were the team heavy with Juniors and Seniors this year and they came up short. This was their year and they blew it.

Penn State and Ohio State are very young and will rerturn nearly everybody.

I think USC is a great team in the same boat. They should be a monster next year. If they beat PSU, i'm not hanging my head. It was still a great year and things are looking better for the future.

Hell, if that's the case...the Pats and Manning led Colts would play in lowB repuS every year and the Steelers would have never won a SB ten years ago right? It's all about your regular season W/L. NFL is a totally different system than college ball. If there was an 8 team playoff y'all would have some beef. Four teams? Not so much.
As for caring ... not so much.

Gonna ****, shower, shave and dress, head out to this party and bring the New Year in right. I would imagine you're going to do something similar. If not, I feel sorry for you and hope that 2017 brings you the opportunity to make some friends.

Happy New Year TURD ...

Barrett was always a game manager. He was not the passer that Cardale was and not the runner Braxton was, but he made good decisions and when he had tons of weapons at RB and WR, he was effective.

Take away those WRs and Elliott and now Barrett has to carry the team and he can't. He's just not a dynamic player.

I don't understand why he wanted Barrett over Braxton. The only thing i can think is that he thought Braxton could be a RB/WR. The problem was, they didn;t really use BM that much. He made a few plays but he woud have made a bunch more if he just played QB.

Pffhhhhhttt...F your backhand slap. You do care cause you brought it up.....I could care less if you're going out or getting showered, whatever. You slammed me weeks ago that PSU was a joke. Now you can go out tonight knowing you were wrong. 31-0 and the backup came on the field. Oh, and you lost to PSU.

BTW...love ya. Just having fun.

Braxton's injury wouldn't allow him to throw the ball. If you go back to last year's film, you'd notice that Braxton NEVER once threw the ball off of that sweep they ran with him. Never. I don't think he ever fully healed. So, they were left with JT or Cardale. They put Cardale on a short leash after he outright won the job and then yanked him for Urban's chosen QB. Cardale was a "leftover" recruit from the previous staff.

What boggles my mind is that they never really opened up the competition this year.

Happy New Year Turd ... if you thinking I'm going to be upset about any of this past the time it takes me to get my first Scotch at the party makes you feel good, I want you to have that. Please try to make friends this year so that you have something to do next New Years.

Good Night.

Edit: You probably should HOPE that PSU wins that game or at least be man enough to come on the board if they don't. j/s

The experts also pointed to the 39 point loss to Missedagain ... but we'll overlook that right? When has a two loss team been given the opportunity to win a Nat. Championship ... Ever?!! tOSU is taking an *** whoopin and I'll eat that. But y'all PSU fans seem to want to forget those two losses. Take care of business and y'all would have been in. Nobody to blame but yourselves.

No, the NCAA is to blame.

What you (and the committee) are arguing is that the way the Big 10 decides it's champion is flawed. The NFL including wild card teams is essentially them admitting their structure is flawed, and divisional champions should be taken with a grain of salt.

If the NFL decided the Ravens would go to the playoffs instead of the AFC North Champion Steelers citing their 4 game losing streak and 31 point loss to the Eagles earlier in the season, I don't think any of us would think the Steelers had nobody to blame but themselves, now would we?

I wouldn't be surprised if the NCAA decides that only conference champs will be included in the playoff going forward.

Going back to 2009 at a quick glance Alabama has lost like a total of 10 games. It's really starting to lose my interest. They need to have a scandal and get Saban thrown out or something or this will go on for another 10 years. I didn't like Golf either when everyone played for second behind Tiger.

I suspect the short answer is "pre-season expectation bias".

The tears and rantings of Ohio State fans are comical to me.

Too early ... Party ... Ride to Cleveland at 2 a.m. .. put the oldest on a plane ... Went to sleep in car and youngest drove home (2 hours) instead of to cousin's house (1/2 an hour) ... HUNGOVER!

See y'all in today's game thread.

Penn state would have given them a better game. Too bad. Looking forward to the Rose Bowl.

Before I start here is a disclaimer.....I ******* hate Ohio State. My wife went to PSU and a few of my family members. I also went to a school that didn't have college basketball so for much of my life I didn't have a team but slowly I'm adopting PSU as my team.

That all being said you have to be an idiot to say PSU should be in over Ohio State. The argument who is hottest at the end is a retarded one. It's a body of work and it always is and always will be. You can't say oh those first two games don't mean anything now you have your **** together when other teams were strong from the start. Every game counts and it should. You want to play in the playoff? Win more games than anyone else and stop crying about it. Penn State lost two games so stop crying about this and that Jesus. The reason they got in the conference championship is through a tie breaker by getting help at the end of the season and in the end tied with the team that were beating them the whole game until they returned a blocked field goal for a TD late in the fourth at home during a white out. A wins a win but seriously PSU homers they didn't deserve to be in over OSU. Body of work over 12/13 games cry babies accept it. If they played thirty games one or two losses would mean squat but when you play 12 every loss is magnified and yes they did get crushed by Michigan. BTW PSU would get crushed by Alabama and Clemson too. They are in a different league. It's no coincidence the championship game is a rematch.

Ohio state lost the head to head vs penn State... they then failed to qualify for their CG because of that loss... They very nearly lost their last two games. in fact the Ot win Vs michagan should have been a loss. The only reason they got in was the name brand of their school. they did not deserve to be there. Sometimes teams with more perceived talent aren't championship caliber teams. anyone could see the OSU offense wasn't good enough or adaptable enough this year. they got the *** whooping they deserved....
