In both Super Bowls, Tomlin put his players in a prime position to win. That is what great coaches do.http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/f...s-coach-mike-tomlin-apology-article-1.2927719

Tomlin’s still-invisible genius occurred at the beginning of that 2009 season when Roethlisberger was suspended four games for sexual assault allegations against him.
Byron Leftwich, who had prepared to start in place of Ben all preseason, went down with a knee injury during the preseason finale. Instead, a rookie named Dennis Dixon got the last-minute start.
Then in the Steelers' second game, Dixon also injured his knee (which sadly, ended his career). Tomlin was then forced to move to veteran back-up Charlie Batch — his 4th option — to start the final two games.
How did the Steelers do?
They went 3-1, and the only loss ended with a last-second field goal.
In all four games, Mike Tomlin put his players in a position to win.
