So as I'm going through the Stats, I realized we are tied with buffalo for worse in the league with 3 fumble recoveries this season... we haven't forced a ton, just 11, but teams with just 6 FF have more than us... Thinking back, it does seem that we don't react to balls on the ground quickly... I'm not really certain why... I never remember a year when we were this bad at grabbing loose footballs...

Recovering fumbles can be practiced. Being in position to recover them is another story. Thats a funny shaped ball, a lot of factors go into where it lands/bounces.

Harrison is do for a strip sack or two to get those numbers going our way in the post season.

So, you can't sleep because you're up thinking about "grabbing loose balls"...egad, man!?!?!?

I was sure this was about Bell''s fumbling.

In order to go far in the playoffs this team needs turnovers in bunches. They have been hard to come by. They aren't beating really good teams playing the way they have.

It's all about the way the ball bounces. 11FF is a good amount and usually you get half. But the ball is oblong and pointy on both sides, so you never know where it is going. One of the great moments of chaos in games is caused by a rolling, bouncing fumble.

If our players were losing possession by continually trying to pick it up and failing, that would be a problem.
