So Coach how big was this play???

This is our best win in years. Essentially a playoff game win, vs a heated rival.

Davis is just a guy on the team. Lots of players made plays to win, and he wouldn't be on my list of top 6 players for the game.

There really isn't much of a need to post threads like this. Let's bury it in 2016.

I wonder what your top 6 list would be. Your "just a guy on the team" had more pass defenses (2) than the other rookie (0). As a reminder you've stated PDs are the most important stat for a DB (incorrect actually).

You think coach is going to admit he's wrong on Davis? He still hasn't admitted to being wrong about Troy Polamalu.

I wasn't even looking for all of that lol..just a "good play kid" for the break up in the end zone. Considering it was a huge play in the game

Won't get it from him, his ego won't allow him to type words like that. Remember, he asked for video of the play, meaning he again didn't watch the game...

I think the problem is you guys aren't asking Coach a direct question. You were asking him for thoughts and he turns the conversation to Jarvis Jones...

So it should be done like this: Coach did you see that great play Davis had that saved a touchdown for the Steelers?

Also Ford, I like your draft ideas, but this team can not redshirt anyone with Ben's window closing. We needed impact players this year, and the Steelers got 3 impactful starters with their first 3 picks. I can't question their drafting this year, now that our defense is turning into a strength.

Honestly, when we picked I did not see an immediate playmaker on the board. I figured whomever we took, including Burns, would need a year to get their feet wet anyways so my thought process was take a guy who potentially a top 3 pick if healthy and turn him loose next year. I had no idea Burns would ever become good let alone good this year. Also, in my head I really thought Burns would probably fall to us at the end of the first anyways so if we wanted him we could have taken him. Now looking back I am glad we pulled the trigger so fast. I have been saying it for weeks I was definitely wrong about Burns and am damn glad so! But I always liked Sean Davis. I feel he is a natural safety and I hope we get that nickel DB crap out of our head and keep him at safety from now on.

I always thought Hargrave had the best chance to start early. We had a need at NT, and Big Dan was raw. He quickly rose up the depth charts and started early.

Why do you need video of the play it was on TV?? That play was huge and the fact that you can't even acknowledge that is sad. A TD there and it's a totally different game. It was great play and it helped us win that game. Just say great play kid Jesus Christ

coach isn't man enough to admit he was way ******* wrong on both the 1st and 2nd round choices....

In summation, Mitchell and Davis combined to save 8 total points.

coach you can do it

admit Davis was better than you thought

I have faith in yinz

Simple question -
Would it ******* absolutely KILL you to admit that Davis is way better than your initial opinion of him?

Great film. This shows the other aspect of the game. Safety play prevented 2 TDs. I remember in the stadium, seeing Flacco put that ball up to what appeared to be a wide open receiver. I thought Oh ****, when that ball was in the air. Then Mitchell sprinted over and made the play. This was the difference in the game. Steelers safeties stopped 2 TDs while Weddle couldn't stop 2 TDs.
