whiny ***** thread

On hindsight I really wish I titled this post differently.

I was trying to emphasize that a clear change in game plan regarding the pat was critical in our 4 point as opposed to 3 point advantages in the 4 th qtr.

Yes we did squander one of those opportunities, but in the end, playing against the best kicker in the NFL, those 4 point leads were huge.

Oh STFU - any moron that says Ben is not elite should be stabbed in the head 30 or 40 times - ban this ******* ****-sucking troll now.

The stupid coaching staff should all be fired for playing small ball dink and dunk for 50 minutes and not letting BEN BE BEN.

The thing about it is the game would of played out a little differently. If we would of went for 2 and failed the Ravens would have never went for their 2 pt play(which in the game they suceeded)...So the score difference would have still ended up the same.

After we screw around for 50 minutes We let Ben call his call the plays. This way it keeps Ben sharp. Other wize it would just be a blowout each game. Tomlin, our job is to get in the way of the players, then claim we were the difference in the game. We got to get paid. God please help this team succeed even with this coaxhing staff. Only of you have nothimg else more important to do.

did you note where we had a 3rd and short deep in the Ravens end and BEN called the long pass to the Ez rather than getting the first to keep the drive going?

In those 15 seconds that the headset Mike is open, do you think Hale is talking to Ben or sitting over with a pacifier?

I don't even get where this "Ben was off early" stuff is coming from. He hit Grimble perfectly on the first drive for the TD. On the next drive, we were moving the ball, and on third and short, Bell gets a false start. Becomes third and long, Ben hits AB deep, but the call AB for OPI, made it third and REALLY long, Ben hits Eli for a screen pass that nearly gets the first. He was 6/9 in the first half...yeah we only gave 9 attempts to our HOF QB in the first half.

Move to the bad INT's, first one the TE went the wrong way, Ben threw in, TE just turned around. Second INT, it wasn't a bad pass, it was a bad play. The play fake didn't work, and that play HAS to have the play fake work. The LBers stayed back, Ben put the ball right on the numbers, Mosely was just in position. You could tell Ben never saw him because his back was turned.

This game played too similar to the first game, don't open things up on offense until we are down double digits. The way we played in the fourth quarter is how our offense should have come out against them.

How the hell can you trash Ben after the 4th QTR he had. To come back from two INT's in the third QTR and lead us on three TD Drives in the 4th QTR is Championship caliber football. Even Manning in his battles with the Cheats tossed some INT's in his victories over the Cheats which were all comeback wins also. Enjoy Big Ben man....he's a Future HoF'er and he won't be around forever! After Big Ben it could be another 26 years before we find another one like him.

Stubborn dick swinging arrogance on display again, "we'll just line up and beat you", run it up the gut for 3 quarters, then pray Ben will save the season one more time.

That has to change or we are one and done. This defense can't stop anyone and we'll gonna need 30+++ points now

Bens throws were on target unfortunately he didn't see the defenders waiting to pick him off. They baited him good with CJ Mosley dropping back into coverage and in fact I saw Ben double clutching a few more passes as he saw them baiting him later. Ben is a baller and sometimes with any QB a ball sails on you. Just enjoy these last few years with him because I doubt that we replace him very soon after he hangs them up.

Ben is one of the best deep ball throwers the game has seen. Hope that eggnog of yours is finished, cause it laced with some strong ****. As for Mike Wallace, **** him. He was done three years ago.

I saw Make Wallace's name brought up, you do realize he was off to one of the best starts by a wr ever right? To bad he had a qb that sucked uh?
I love that we could run the ball, but in the NFL now and with a versatile RB like Bell and the best wr, you use the passing game to set up the run. Tomlin and Haley know how Ben prefers the up tempo passing game, hell they saw in the first game with Baltimore.

As for being off, he wasn't off at all, 6-9 with a throw away in the first half. Ints always suck, but the first one if you watch it, the TE turns and stops, as Ben is throwing, I don't know but it looked like Ben was expecting the TE to run a crossing route.

Do you know the best way on a frigid day to get a QB into a good rhythm? have him throw 9 ******* times in a whole half, mostly on obvious passing downs, then ***** that he doesn't look crisp until later in the game... ... Right now we have an average te in JJ, a great WR in brown, a great RB in Bell, and a bunch of new and unproven players on O... also I watch my fair share of football, bens accuracy is above the great majority of QB's ... we just ***** about every Int and incompletion here... the first int wasa slight overthrow... the second was a bad read. Both were bad turnovers... those happen to every QB...
He still finished with a 72% completion %... and a passer rating over 100 despite the two picks...

I also thought some of the rats misfortunes was because of a improved pass D. Burns and Davis are keepers.

The Ravens stumped Ben for three quarters playing man. They wanted Bell to beat them(their strength). When they had a lead late in the second half and Bell was beating them, they switched to zone.

Something about the ravens not being turned around and being able to help with the run. Thats what the experts say and it makes sense, and thats when people started coming open for Big Dummy.

Those of us who think we know more than Haley or Tomlin are just delusional.

Imagine Landry Jones as the starter.
Just saying...

who is big dummy?

Well Elfiero, I'll tell you what I saw for three quarters of that game. Tightly packed formations with multiple TE's that:
Forced Ben to anticipate young players moving the correct way he wanted them two (that and a hook on the guy) created the first INT. A poor play action fake by the line and receivers followed by a horrible decision not to pump fake and look elsewhere led to the second.
When the players are spread out Ben makes his reads and is fooled far less. He will throw to his best matchup and he doesn't care who that is. Yes part of the reason they played zone was to defend the run. The other part was that they are *** in the secondary and were terrified to blitz and get one on one with Brown.
But hey, what do I know.

Thats my/Fred Sanford's pet name for Ben when he turns into bad Ben. Not a Ben hater but he can make you pul your hair out at times.

Now, if you're a young guy ask me who Fred Sanford is.....lol. Yeah im kinda old.

no I know who Sanford and Son is. just didn't know who you were directing it towards.

I just know the Steelers have two SB rings, and a third trip to the SB because of that big dummy.

Sure he has his head shaking moments.

But then turns around and gives you those elite moments that few in the NFL are capable of on a regular basis.

The big dummy is whoever didn't draft Big Ben, he has done us well.

Exactly, and big dummy owns every passing record imaginable on a team with a HOF QB on it. Oh and yes he co authored the greatest play in team/ NFL history. I've been to Pittsburgh a few times now and with all due respect to the Immaculate Reception, C'mon lets grow up. Ben to Holmes was last night, but it was FOR A CHAMPIONSHIP.
So Elfiero, good of you to not be a hater and all.

If you grew up in Pittsburgh when the Steelers became the Steelers as you think of them, with the Immaculate Reception and our first ever playoff victory, then you might have due respect for it. Sounds like a few trips to Pittsburgh hasn't done that for you.

Ben didn't seem to have any problems hitting his receivers in stride until a majority of the weapons offensive lineup turned into undrafted free agents.
