whiny ***** thread

Booooooooo

All that matters is the final score--we won......the final result -- AFCN Champions---AGAIN. 6 consecutive wins going for 7 next week. We have more goals to reach. This was only one.

We don't live in our fears, nor a barn.........Losers revel on what ifs

PS ... we lose that game if:
1. Bell fumbles at any time
2. Ben throws another interception
3. The defense doesn't play as well as it did for most of the game

The thing is that we DIDN'T lose the game. None of those things happened. So your "PS" is as irrelevant as mine.
Except for the fact that your "PS" was posted specifically with the goal to denigrate Tomlin after his team won a big game. smdh

WE WON ... DIVISIONAL CHAMPS BABEEEEE!!!

^^^

I agree. He does need to stop all the 2 point attempts but now is not the time to ***** about it. He did his job tonight.

We possibly lose this game not because of Mikey but because of Ben. Not many here are putting the credit in the hands of those that really won this; Brown and Bell.

I call it Santonio Holmes Syndrome. Like in SB 43 where #10 made all the incredible plays on the game winning drive yet around here 7 got all the credit.

It is what it is...at least those that pick the SB MVP were unbiased.

But Ben deserves credit for keeping it together at the end and not completely ******** the bed.

Wrong. It was to make a point that by playing it safe we had Baltimore in position to play for tds instead of 3s.

A change in philosophy that worked to our advantage.

Yes, Division. CHAMPS, but that was a significant change in approach. If anything a positive comment about Tomlins decisions regarding that play.

Bad thread. Really no situation for the Steelers to go for two in this game and definitely not comparable to some of the other attempts in recent weeks.

Note from the coaching staff

After we screw around for 50 minutes We let Ben call his call the plays. This way it keeps Ben sharp. Other wize it would just be a blowout each game. Tomlin, our job is to get in the way of the players, then claim we were the difference in the game. We got to get paid. God please help this team succeed even with this coaxhing staff. Only of you have nothimg else more important to do.

Big Ben off target

I appreciate the win and really hope we go all the way.

But has anyone noticed Ben may hit his receivers, in stride, the least of any of the "elite" quarterbacks of this era?

I'm a huge fan of Ben, but image if Mike Wallace had never had to come back for a ball after beating his guy by 5yrds.

Imagine if AB didn't have to twist into a pretzel to make a catch thrown behind him on a crossing route.

Imagine those TE's didn't have to use the entirety of their 6'5" - 6'9" height to make what should be a routine catch and run when Ben throws too high.

Just saying...

Just saying what are you talking about. Jesus just enjoy the win. He played pretty brutal for most of that game. But was brilliant for the 4th quarter. They scored 30 points against a top 3 defense. He was perfect on the game winning drive. Now ask yourself what exactly was the different between the 4th quarter and the rest of the game. That is the million dollar question right there.

Ben's 4th quarter stats:

14 of 17(with 2 spikes) for 164 yds and 2 TD's

I just don't think it a big part of their game plan. It's much easier to hit a receiver in stride when you're running 5-7 crossing patterns as opposed to 10 yard hooks, 15 yard outs, 20 posts, and 40 yard flies. The Pats offense is built on these types of patterns which often leads me to wonder...if it's so successful for them, why don't we do it more, but I certainly don't think Ben isn't capable of doing it.

No doubt Ben was off early. But, he was spot on to lead the 3 game winning drives in the 4th quarter when it mattered most.

This team now has won 6 in a row and 2 in a row against tough division foes. In both games we were behind and struggling and in both, we found a way to win. Great wins for a team that just might get a little healthy heading into the playoffs to show some more greatness! I know that's what I'm hoping for.

Oh, ya, pay the man! Pay AB and Pay Bell if at all possible this offseason. Nuff said on that subject.
