1) The Raiders lose and leave open the door for the 2nd seed and bye knowing we will have to go full out against the Browns, or...

2) The Raiders lose and we rest up week 17

Both KC and Oak would need to drop their final two with us winning ours to get the second seed. Lets not get carried away here...

Wouldn't KC just have to lose one, aren't they 10-4, oakland has to lose their last two
 
Also, we should be able to beat Cleveland while resting our starters

Nice thing about playing Browns is we could rest key starters and not hurt our chances of winning much.
 
Since both of your scenarios have Oakland losing next week, and given that the Steelers play the Browns at 1 (while both the Raiders and Chiefs have late games) in week 17, I'd be very surprised to see them "rest" against Cleveland, because they will still have a shot at the #2 seed at kickoff, no matter what.
 
1 Steelers win
2 Raiders loss
3 Play all starters Cleveland game.
 
How about beating the Rats first.
Without beating the division opponent who holds a one win advantage over the Steelers everything else is nothing but hopes, lies and BS.
 
Beat the rats, without that i don't want to see any of the "we run this division" shirts or the division runs through Pittsburgh talk because sadly it would just be chest thumping bravado. Take care of business in Heinz and blow the doors of the piece of **** rats team that has had our number for too long...shut that **** down it's Ravens week.

I play the starters for a quarter, maybe the first half and then sit them the **** down. Certain players like Pouncey, I would not let him dress for the game. Gotta handle the Rats first
