yes I speak jibberish ghetto and young white entitled what the **** is he trying to type..........let me translate.

He is saying the younger posters are jagoffs for being confused between the Black n Gold VS Black n Yellow color scheme. He wants the young fans to stop listening to Wiz and know it is in fact Black n Gold.

He wants to reference a color wheel (painters actually look at a color wheel in mixing colors) as proof that there is color wheel versions of gold that looks like yellow., dating back as far as the 1900's.

Charcoal Gray and weirdly bright Gold.

That's got a ring to it.

Lol you guys are hilarious

Technically it's not wrong to say "gold" or "yellow".. Pure yellow is a primary color when dealing with paints. Gold is a shade of yellow (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shades_of_yellow). Gold IS the specific shade of yellow that the Steelers wear. So to say "gold" you are being more precise, more specific, and consequently, one could argue more accurate and more right. But gold is still technically a shade of yellow so you wouldn't be wrong per se, you'd just be ignoring the nuance. Plus, the Steelers themselves will tell you it's gold, decades of tradition will tell you it's gold. If you want to get it truly right, it's gold. If you want to be a dick and start a damn argument, you do what POP did in this thread.

It's just like Ohio State's colors - scarlet & grey. Scarlet is a shade of red (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shades_of_red). Those who know best know that OSU wears scarlet. But if you pulled a bunch of random people off the street and showed them a video of OSU playing and asked them "what color is that?" I'm quite sure a vast majority would just say "red". It's not really "wrong" to say it's red, it's just less precise and less specific than if you were to say "scarlet".

Also - glad everyone covered the difference between "gold" and whatever the Saints color is

The Oakland Raiders isn't Silver and Black, its Gray and Black you ****** color blind Raider fans.

Ohio States isn't Scarlet and Gray it's Scarlett and Silver you ****** color blind Buckeye fans.

Its Black and Gold because black is for badass and gold is the symbol of excellence.

Best color combo in football.

1.) Several things, I read an article a long time ago so I can't post link. It stated very clearly that the "Black and Gold" color scheme is the most sports winningest color combo. I believe that as I've been on many a different sports teams / color combos and the Black and Gold was by far the more winning % combo. Laugh if you want but I believe this to be true all the way.
2.) I've stated this before and I'll state this again, the STEELERS have kicked *** on every team in the league. There is bad taste in a lot of opposing fan bases. The term black and yellow was purely sought as a derogative term intended to insult or get under the STEELERS fan base skin. It has been used a lot and with the TV talking heads using it, it has many believing that is the actual color of the STEELERS. It's like me calling the cowboys crybows or the ravens gayvens and the Browns, well, they are the browns nuff said
3.) Pops or poop as many here called him was a bonified cheatriot's fan. He never wanted to come clean in that respects yet claimed a STEELERS fan. He proved many a time the reality of his fan hood. That is why we never let him off the hook. he was thinking he was so cool when in reality he was exposed for the truth, a lot.

We have the BEST Black and Gold team in the world. There is no equal and we have 6 legitimate lombardies to prove it. Soon to be a seventh then and eighth with Ben Rothlesberger and company. Always will and always has been BLACK and GOLD

PS The Pittsburgh Steelers own the most wins in nfl football. I believe we took that honor about 4 years ago and continue to grow it.

That is only post-merger, i.e., 1970 and after. All time, the NFL counts games the Bears and Packers played in the 1920's, before Pittsburgh even had a team, and Wikipedia has the Steelers with the 4th most wins all-time, behind 3 teams (the Bears, Packers and Giants) who began playing many years before the Steelers had a team.

Not only the most wins since the 1970 merger, but the most playoff berths, the most division championships, SB's, lowB repuS appearances, most pro-bowlers, most winning seasons, least head coaches.

Steeler Nation are fans of the greatest franchise ever.

The most eye opening stat for me:
Only 9 losing seasons since 1970.
