No question about it. Our O-line has the best line coach in football and it shows in their technique. This O-line was terrible before Munchak got here and now they are all-stars!

People might point to Dallas as having a better one but IMO the Steelers O-line is superior and the best in the NFL! Not to mention we have good depth on our O-Line too in BJ Finney and Chris Hubbard.

Our OL has been inconsistent, but so has our offense, defense, and ST. Too inconsistent to be the best in the league. IMO

It was the Bills, ...on a slippery, snow-covered field......

I'll admit that we have one of the most talented, diverse lines in the game. They are great pass blockers, they have a 1000 RB with 10 games played. They are fast and can pull to get down field and set the edge. This is where the Steelers separate themselves on the line, by pulling.

And Damn, Finney looked like he was shot out of a cannon on those pulls. Man is he fast! Foster's job might not be set in stone next season.

Haley and Bell should get a lot of the credit for the O-line looking so much better.

Haley somehow has taught Ben, either by scheme or by pounding it into his thick head, to get rid of the ball by dumping it off.
Bell is one of the best to "dump it off to" in the league, maybe the history of the league. Bell is also obviously great at being patient and bursting through a hole that isn't there at first. Bell gets yardage when our line gets no push at all.

Has anyone noticed over the last several years, when a starting offensive lineman has been injured, we haven't missed him a bit? Do you think that's because our backups are so great?

I will give our line one thing... Ben has spent most of his career with a strong likelihood on every dropback that someone was going to come free through the middle or edge and hit him before he even set his feet. He'd either throw it away quickly, dodge the guy and try to make a play on the run, or get sacked. Some said he was "holding the ball too long". I said our line sucked at blocking. But now that barely ever happens. (oops, @Miami, @Philly) Our linemen are better. We've had enough linemen get hurt that we now have Gilbert and Villanueva and Foster. I still think they're mediocre talents, but they're better than who they replaced.

The combination of all this makes our line look better and our offense better as a whole. Having a Hall Of Fame quarterback helps a whole lot too (3 picks yesterday notwithstanding).

Just gotta beat the damn bengals and ravens! That might clinch it, and we can either sit starters and possibly lose to the winless clowns (being nice), or warm up for the playoffs by stomping them and rubbing their noses in their ****** season!

Ramon Foster is a team leader, you can see it on the field every game. Here are his contract numbers:
Ramon Foster signed a three year contract with the Pittsburgh Steelers worth $9.6 million. Foster received a $2.75 million signing bonus.
that's an above average player and a locker room leader on a cheap deal. He's still 30 years old so he will see the extent of that deal with the Steelers uniform

Villanueva is in his last year and I think he will be a RFA so he will be kept cheap or we will get a nice compensation for him, either way I'm fine with it. He has shown improvement and can hold the fort, if we can improve the position via draft then great, bring some competition, don't know if Hawkins is viable for the LT spot.

Ryan Harris is probably gone after the season, he has 1 year left and his cap savings pre-june 1st would be 1,9M, dead money would be 0.338M. With the emergence of Hubbard as a viable backup plus Villanueva showing just enough at a younger age and Hawkins waiting on the wings I think he'll be cut.

Gilbert is no mediocre talent, he might even be a Pro Bowl candidate this season, he's earning 6M average and still has 3 more years on that contract

When they're on, they're fantastic. When they're going through the motions, they get Le'Veon killed.
