Game Notes

should have been running more often in 1st half...game could have been over before the 3rd.

Not sure who calls the plays, but arrogance will be our downfall...
Happy with the win. Just want to know who is guiding the team...

Arrogance would have been sticking with the pass when they saw the run was their bread and butter for the game.

But they shifted to the run game more and more.

4 games in a row... happy the way it is being guided for now...........

I'm going with arrogance...as who is calling the plays? keeping game close? Run, if it works...get big lead, game out of reach....not **** around...games shouldn't be practice, but seems they tend to be at times.

Happy as hell.

Just can't believe they weren't running more in 1st half...

Ben was off, that is what kept it close. The D started to leak toward then end that is what made it look even closer.

But why pass on 1st and 2nd downs and pass again? That's what I'm talking about. Put game away with what is working. Run was working from the get go....stay with it.

Seemed like on a couple of them, he was trying too hard to make a "touch" or "soft" pass when if he'd have put a lil heat on it, the result would have been a completion.

I seriously think the cold and the "grip" had a lot to do with it.

cold, snowy, windy day.....tough to have pin point accuracy. on the first one it almost looked like he was trying to pull the ball back in but couldn't hold it....

I actually hope not; given that he plays for the PITTSBURGH (PA) STEELERS ... because if the cold was an issue today, well, the Steelers don't play in a warm weather city anytime soon.

Given a chance Bell might be a player some day

If not for charity, the bills would not have been in the game at all

Not sure what it is about obvious pass downs that makes it so difficult for the Steelers defense to cover

other than the 4th quarter the defense was solid

Keep watching that kid Bell..I tell you he will be good someday

Yep I remember this member I think he went by warriors 42, saying a year before they drafted Bell that he would be the best in the NFL. Good thing the coaches and front office read this board.

well **** yinz feeling lucky

two prospects yinz like in the first round next year?

;)

I think every team in the league should be afraid of this team right now, when Ben throws 3 picks and they still dominate the way they did, it's ******* scary to think about this offense hitting on all cylinders.

I'm hoping D Will is activated for next weeks game. Lord knows they will intentionally try and take Bell out again.

Been hoping for Will to be playing all year....nice change in running styles....

The bengal kittens don't give a **** though. They'll try to hurt someone intentionally. The refs need to tighten down on this game

Desmond King DB from Iowa love this kid and he should be there when we pick at 32, he will need a year but he will be a star. major ball hawk.

Chris Wormley DT from MI would be a steal in the third round.I think some teams will shy away from him because of rushing the QB skills, but he is a monster against the run.

Actually with the way we are sitting at this point I would not mind trading our first for a future first and start looking for Ben's replacement in the 2018 draft.

I just wish our margin for error was not so slim. We can beat any team in the league. I just hope that we get into the tournament.

Keep Rosy Nix, aka the Snow Plow, in the game on EVERY running play next week and just have him go right after burfdick the same way Dan Krieder did to Ray Lewis in the 2001 Divisonal Playoffs.

I like KIng, not sure they would invest a number 1 (which is where they would need to take him) with upgrades needed at OLB/ILB/WR.

Especially with drafting Burns and Davis 1 and 2 this year.

Seriously doubt they go back that route. Not that I don't like DK I do.............

Every INT, Ben's throw was weak. I'm hoping it was the weather. Thank goodness for the OL, Bell and our D to keep the Bills in check most of the game.

I don't think a single pick can be blamed on the weather; they were all just bad decisions. He should have never thrown any of those balls. The 1st one he threw into a totally covered spot. The 2nd was double coverage, with a defender clearly in front of Green. Last one was a pure brain fart. Unless he takes this more seriously, we lose our 2nd playoff game, period.
