I think so. 8-3 and won 6 in a row. Beat two teams who beat us, Dallas and Ravens.

D is 7th in giving up points and has been improving all season.

Pgh favored by 6...that seems way off target. It seems like it should be a pick'em. I think NY is gonna get to Ben in this one, Bell will not have a big game.

Yea. I dont see Tomlin pulling a rabbit out of his hat on this one.

Giants 27
Steelers 20

If they want to do anything this season, this is the game to do it in.

It may not seem like a must win, but in some ways it is.

1 To trend toward the playoffs instead of away from it.
2 To stay even with a rat team is right now has the edge for the division title.
3 Because this team is as healthy as they will be. So the coaches need to coach and the players need to play. And be effective at it.

This is where the STEELERS can decide what direction they are headed. The Giants are very beatable, especially in our house. A decent GAME PLAN would help a bunch. Keep Rothlesberger off the deep ball initially and combine with the run / screen / WR screen / even a draw play. Play action once on their heals. If Tomlin & coache's can get with the game plan and actually make in game adjustments, this can be won.

They've eeked out a few wins against some bad football teams too. Now, I get it, a win is a win, no matter what, and they have eight of them. However, some here have been pissed off that the Steelers "only" beat the colts and browns by a combined 34 points. Meanwhile, this is the same Giants teams that lost to a bad packers team, "only" beat a bad bears team by six points, struggled with the browns for a half of football, and played in a nail biter to a bad bungholes team. Would I rather have those wins and be 8-3 at this point? You ******* betcha. However, this game is certainly winnable, and our guys need to come out and take care of some ******* business tomorrow. Let's push this streak to three ******* games and get ready for a run.

Yes the NYG are the best team (on paper) that we play other than Dallas, we beat them fairly handily, which makes me worry about the Browns game on New Year's Day that Mrs. Burgundy got tickets for.
