there is only one team in the AFC that has any chance of going in to NE and winning a playoff game in January and that is our Pittsburgh Steelers. Are you watching this Monday night game?? The Raiders are the current two seed?? Houston?? These two teams are a friggin joke! Yeah I get it we have pretty much choked away all hope for a deep playoff run but the fact remains...to beat NE you are going to have to score with them and in my opinion, the only team that can do that is the Pittsburgh Steelers.

I agree - we may be the only AFC team with the firepower to upset the *s.

But we may also be the only AFC team who is just as capable of losing to the worst team as we are of beating the best team, which is why there is little hope of ever even getting to that point where we would find out

Both of these defenses are much better than ours, with legit pass rushers, that's a must to beat NE

They've played much better offenses than we have and have given up alot fewer passing yards and we just played a D1 team, if we can put a couple good defensive games together I'll feel better

They've given up 130 less yards? Huge difference.

Well to be fair you listed passing yards.

I wouldn't count out the defending Super Bowl champs. Brady had a 56 QB rating against the Broncos' defense in the AFCCG last year, and won the game with Manning throwing for just 176 yards.

Yes, I agree, they can rush 4 and get pressure

ummm, Justin, until you change your avatar, no one hears you, we just stare

we literally can only lose 1 more game, I think we beat Colts, Browns, Ravens, Cinci...lose at Bills...that would get us in.

With teams looking like they have a better record fighting chance, I think you have to be the division winner this year. So they have to win more than the rats IMO.

They have to make the playoffs. That path is very narrow now.

" a. HOMER ".................LOL

Baby steps and our defense took one against the brownies. Each game will need improvement but NOT just on the defensive side. We'll need both offense and coaching making those improvements as well.

Salute the nation

My BS light came on and stayed on. We don't have the defense to stop the Pat's - didn't earlier in the season, don't now. We didn't lose that game because of Landry Jones.

No we didn't lose because of Landry, but IF we face them with Ben we should have more ball control and points...enough of both of those to overcome **** THE PATS if our D provides a similar performance.

Unless you have the players to get to Brady with four guys you have no chance to beat them. We just don't have those players right now. it would have to be a shoot out, and in NE I don't see it right now. I may feel different later on.

I think they might have some of the players. They just need to get these rookies coached up quickly.

And Coates needs to bounce back.

Because a huge key to moving forward with the strengths and weaknesses of this team is keeping the O on the field.

I was talking about the guys who are injured, and banged up. This team defensively is thin as is, they have to be healthy to go anywhere.

exactly. Especially Dupree and Coates. Two key areas flow through them with scoring more points and putting more pressure on the QB.

I point to Dupree as some will think but he is a unknown.

However true with a inconsistent Chickillo (due to youth) a aging Deebo, and a benched Jarvis. Not sure we will get the pass rush from this in critical situations against good teams who usually have good O-lines.

Keeping the O on the field and D off the field, fair or not will be contingent on how well they perform down the stretch.

And of course the run D bouncing back from a rough stretch.

Yes it is a long shot right now, but sometimes long shots pan out

We'll see.
