Amazing...they made a two point conversion...when one was called for

Defense was not terrible, but 3rd and long and 4th down defense was not above the line
they did it pressure today and a couple of turnovers to go with the defensive TD

Bell looked good on offense

it was a win, but it was just the browns

damn this place is quiet after a victory

as ****** as they have been to date, they are still sitting in 1st place (yeah I know they lose the tiebreaker to the rats)

D still looked pretty sloppy. But loved the sacks. And Bell was his usual solid performance. As I said in another thread he gets my game ball easily.

it's how it should turn out against a bad Browns team. A win!

The D hit hard, got a ton of pressure and held the Browns in check for most part of the game.

The O played just as well. Bell was great. Ben made quality throws.

The Bungals and Rats lost to put us back on top. Great day!

Happy with the win but I can easily see us losing the next 3 against Indy, Giants and Bills. We must win 2 of the 3 and sweep our division to get in.

I loved the hitting today, but that being said, I hate when it comes at the expense of actually bringing the ball carrier to the ground. You know it's still "tackle football" not "hit the ******* **** out of the guy football" and I think our team has forgotten that.

I don't have much to say because this was a must win, and it wasn't a particularly impressive win. It was a boring game, but Bell and our offensive line did dominate on the ground game which I liked to see. Would still like to see more production out of Ben and the other WR's besides AB. It was enough to beat the Browns today and hopefully will give the guys some confidence that they can win on the road again. But I don't think performances like today will get us very far against most other teams. Glad to get the W but need to play better period if we are going to accomplish what we want to accomplish

I said to her

not you

not here

not now

I think we probably lose to a .500 or better team today.

But they didn't play a .500 or better team today, they played the Browns.

Bell was a lot of fun to watch today. I wish he'd attack the line just a little more and he may have left a TD on the table waiting for his blocks.

The offense needs to find a way to get Green involved somewhere other than the red zone. He was clearly hurt by his missed time and doesn't seem to quite fit in just yet. If they can get him involved, then maybe Brown can have some more room to run because Rogers and Hamilton are scaring no one.

Loved the pressure the defense put on the QB. That's what they should do against rookie scrubs.

Artie keeps getting better. He went for the hit rather than try to make an attempt against the ball on the Browns' TD pass, bu he was our best defensive back on the field today. Davis was close on some plays as well. As he gets more comfortable and plays a little faster, you can at least see what he is capable of.

So what the hell is wrong with Coates THIS week?

After 4 losses in a row, I'll take any win, I won't get to excited about it, it's the Browns, buts it's a win while Bengals and Rats lost.

I didn't have to get drunk today...thanks Ark, Supe, DBS...

Steelers win - even though we had the refs against us too.

We need a wr to step up as our #2. Why is Green hardly playing? He dropped a TD, but we're paying him quite a bit for him to just come in at the goal line, and it's not like any of our other TEs are doing a damn thing.
Our goal line passing needs to try to run some crossing routes, drags, and rubs try to stretch the field horizontally, since you can't go vertical.
Catching the ******* ball would help.
We had great success running g the ball, but rarely took advantage by using the play fake, part of that may have been the weather making it tough to throw down field.

yeah with Coates out (of the rotation) it is a number one receiver and then a bunch of 3rd WR type guys. And a TE coming off injury that has been a bust due to injury plus ineffectiveness so far.

Right now this and run D is the teams greatest weakness, followed closely by the pass rush. (although they came alive this game).

Lets not go crazy we beat the browns. We did not score td's in first two times inside the ten yard line. Our secondary is still suspect know matter how man want to stroke Burns. Burns lacks knowing where the ball is way to many times and his position related to the receiver is not so good. Yes he may be improving but still he is lost sometimes.

but he can return kickoffs,,, I don't get it. Usually you put your most sure handed players back on kick returns

not a smart coaching decision IMO
it can be added to the list............

Impossible to enjoy such a badly officiated mess. More garbage nfl product.

Browns or not, you gotta take the "W". Your right about NFL garbage and that is part the reasoning for lower ratings. !!!!!!!!

Salute the nation

The O sucked today, bell did great but lets be clear, they only scored 17 points against the lowly browns.
The D came to play, actually came to bruise the browns, loved tuitt fire today, timmons rushing was at least way more effective than keeping him covering faster guys in the zone

Happy with the win. But taking too many dumbass penalties. We were lucky to get away with them today.

I agree. I'll take the win, but the two needless hands-to-the-face penalties which handed the Browns first downs instead of punting situations were bad. And, of course, the roughing the passer blow to the head nullified a fumble return touchdown, although the game was pretty much decided at that point.

Cleveland is just a mess. However, stupid self-inflicted fouls in crucial situations cannot happen against better opponents, without a much more negative consequence.

Tuitt, Timmons, and Shazier were beasts against the clowns. Timmons destroying the RB on pass rushes, and Shazier and Timmons killing the QB were reminiscent of Lloyd-Greene days.

Tuitt, though.... We have not seen a defensive end that disruptive since..... when?

I know, it was the Browns.
