or Thursday night game

UH stumbled this season, especially against SMU, but they have totally dominated Louisville tonight...currently 34-10 with less than 6 minutes to go

I can understand their loss to Navy, they were missing 3 LBs and a starting CB which is huge against Navy's triple option offense....plus the weather hampered Ward and the offense. but the ******* heartless loss to SMU....destroyed their season....

but they have looked excellent against two top 5 AP ranked schools (at the time of the game)

36-10 final score......UH defense was finally back to full strength and they dominated Lamar Jackson....10 sacks on the night

so much for the people upset about Louisville being left out of the playoffs. They just kicked themselves out. If you have a weak schedule, you don't just have to win, you have to win convincingly and if you do lose a game, it better be to a team ranked higher than you.

With Louisville now out of the picture, Playoff looking like it will be

If Ohio State beats Michigan
1 Alabama
2 Ohio State
3 Clemson
4 Wash or Big Ten Champ - Wash will have to blow out Wash State or else it looks like Penn State or Wisconsin get in

If Michigan beats Ohio State
1 Alabama
2 Michigan (unless they lose in B10 Champ game)
3 Clemson
4 Oklahoma vs West Virginia winner

Those are the likely scenarios if there are no more upsets, but obviously there still can be plenty.

Michigan's QB is out but he's not that great anyway. Houston transfer John O'Korn will start for Michigan. He's actually more experienced than Speight and Michigan doesn't ask too much of the QB.

Alabama is too strong and coached by a modern day Napolean who develops and players his player like no one else.

I think a team with a good OL and passing game can beat them.

How good is Washington?

Nobody is beating the Tide this coming playoff. And this is coming from a Buckeye fan. They'll have to have a "D" level game for any other team to have a chance, doubt that happens

That was a disappointing performance by Louisville. When you fumble the opening kickoff, lose the turnover battle 3-0, have 15 penalties for over 100 yards compared to your opponent's 1 penalty for 5 yards, it's probably not going to be your day.

Maybe Washington can, they have scored over 40 points 7 times this season, Not sure if their OL can hold, but Alabama, if their lines can't dominate, is a little vulnerable.

I can't disagree. They look like the finest college football team ever assembled. They would probably be a -3 favorite against the Browns in Cleveland.

Which games have their lines not dominated? And too your point, "a little vulnerable" is still better than the rest of the country.

Washington may get into the playoff, but they have no chance. Their schedule is as soft as it gets. Hell they lost to USC. Plus, they are 2nd in the PAC12 North. If they don't win the PAC12 Championship, I don't think they even get into the playoff.

Don't get me wrong I'm picking Alabama vs anyone, but I think they looked beatable early vs A&M and during the LSU game. I just think if they face a good passing team, with an OL that allows them to be spread out defensively they can be beaten.

Ed Oliver a true freshman was killing their OL...they actually had 11 sacks on Jackson last night. Oliver and Taylor caused several holding calls by being too fast for the OL to stop so they got grabby. They also had 6-7 illegal procedure penalties.

Alabama would destroy them even worse than UH did.

I did not see the game, but I suspect it was not Louisville's best effort. If it was, I wonder how bad Navy and SMU would beat them.

SMU wouldn't beat anyone...UH played that game with no heart and just flat sucked in all aspects. Navy likely could beat Louisville....but a healthy UH defense would have turned that game around for UH, not being in a Power 5 conference, they just don't have the depth to make up for injuries.

UH's defense blitzed all night and when they didn't blitz they were doing stunts and confusing the OL. Louisville did shoot themselves in the foot with those penalties, but it was not like they were suspect calls...they clearly tackled defenders a few times to keep them off of Jackson. It was loud, especially in the first half, but I would expect they have had to deal with noise before but they didn't handle it well last night. Jackson when he wasn't sacked, was off on a lot of his throws and he receivers had a few drops....so yeah they could have played better but a lot of their mistakes were forced by the defense.

Alabama hasn't really been tested. The only good offense and decent QB they faced was Ole Miss and they put up 40 on them. The only good defense they faced was LSU and Bama had trouble moving the ball. Bama's QB has not had any real pressure situations yet.

Wash needs Michigan to beat Ohio State and Clemson to lose again. If Michigan loses then it opens the door for 2 Big Ten teams to get in the playoff. Wash has no quality wins and the one good team they played, USC, dominated the game.

Pac 12 and the ACC don't have anyone who could really contend for the title....

MSU really had nothing to lose. The replay I saw looked like a bad, or very late, pass by the QB. It looked like it might have been there had he thrown it much sooner.

yeah the guy was open early but he was looking outside first and when he turned to the middle of the field his receiver was covered and he made a bad pass anyway....

I really have a hard time understanding what makes Jabrill Peppers a Heisman contender. Is he an elite athlete? Sure. Is he a great defender? No doubt. But Heisman? Come on, no justification
