This season has left me with a familiar feeling. I am reminded of the 03 and 06 seasons. Seasons where we were coming off multiple playoff runs (01-02 and 04-05), and a super bowl and sure enough the season got away from us early. in each case I remember being 2-6 or 3-7 and people on this board, AND EVEN PLAYERS talking delusional crap about reeling off 8 in a row. They were wrong then, and am thinking optimism may be met with disappointment.

I unfortunately think we may be headed to a 6-10/8-8 season like we had those years.

I will say I don't have high hopes for the rest of the season.

The offensive can be good enough when they go no huddle. The defense not so much. Can't stop the run. Can't stop the endless **** short passes over the middle and are now giving up those short plays for touchdowns. If they can't adjust and change scheme, then we're ******.

The defense is horrible. Keep McCullers or Hargrave in at NT all three downs and see how it goes. It can't be any worse than what they are doing now with only 2 linemen on all downs but 1st.

Gloom. Doom everywhere................. ****, let's play the game before we condem to failure. I agree we have MAJOR issues but look at other teams and realize this is YOUR new NFL. Make the playoffs and anything can occur...

Salute the nation

I think part of the angst, is they're playing an 0-10 team this weekend, and the embarrassment that *could follow would be palpable. Let's face it, they do play to their environment.

What would you rather have happen:

1)win 3-5 games to finish the season (best case IMO)
2)lose out and clean house (Tomlin staying of course because we take so much pride in having a coach for so long...never mind winning. 3 coaches in 45 plus seasons is better)

Never would I want to lose out, that's part of this teams problem, not enough of them care en about winning
