Click bait article, he'll be back but it will take a ton of work and dedication. He may not have the same mobility but doctors today can fix stuff that used to be career threatening. You can smell click bait when the article reads some doctors with no intimate knowledge of the situation would not be surprised if he didn't come back...doesn't get much softer in fact based reporting than that.
