First game in over a decade that I won't watch...

We don't have half our team, our defense is built to lose to the Pats even when all the starters are healthy, and honestly don't feel like having a smudge on what looks to be a nice fall Sunday by watching the Steelers inevitably lose.

Fixed it for you.
I'll be watching if I don't have to work just to see how bad it will be. Some of us like to watch train wrecks too.

I love the steelers, but it's amazing what you can accomplish at the stores, etc, while all the people are home watching the game. It's like a ghost town.

This^^^

Love the Steelers but I miss games on occassion. It's been fun to have football get togethers with the family though. My dad has been coming over for hockey games too. Mrs. MTC is not a big football fan but she roots for the Steelers. Sometimes gotta take the son out to the park though. NM weather has been great

Just not going to put myself through it.

Why?

Answer: why would I? I know what it looks like to have Brady and the Pats kick the snot out of the Steelers so why would I?

Here's to a fresh restart to the season after the bye with a team that has a passing resemblance to what this team is supposed to look like.

Flame all you want, but we all know how this ends.

Bad excuse to not watch. Gotta support thick and thin

What's more likely? A Steelers win, or a 77-0 beatdown in which the pats don't punt and the Steelers don't cross midfield?

I'll be watching, but I'm not looking forward to it.

I haven't missed a game in over a quarter century, since sports bars got satellite and you could catch them all. I'll endure this impending *** kicking as well with hopes of being surprised by a pathetic run D rebounding and Landry not looking like, well Landry.

I never bet against the Steelers, but really want to lay the 7.5 in this one to ease the pain with some financial gain. I probably won't be able to break precedent and do it, but it really seems like as a frequent gambler that I'm just leaving money on the table. This one seems like an investment far more than a gamble, but that is often when the crazy crap happens in the NFL.

Come on crazy outcome!

I will watch as always. I hope we win. I think our chances are poor though.

When you are down, the world is lined up for dibs....

If you saw this pop up, wouldn't you ( as I did ) assume Ben was part of the 15 ?

Well, he isn't even mentioned in the article anywhere...are they allowed to do that ?

Watching your team get their teeth kicked in is what makes it sweet when we do win it all. If you can't hang with us in the lows, piss off for the highs too. Take a look at the Browns fans. Those ************* show up and are loud week in and week out. Take a lesson from them.

I'll watch...may wreck some **** and lose control, but i'll always watch!

The only lesson to take from anything Brown. It takes nerve and guts to ride that wagon and yet some still do, gotta respect them for that.

I have missed zero games on purpose in my life. missed to games that I recall. bengals game in 2003 due to hurricane and bengals playoff game in 2005. power outage. I did get to see the final quarter of 2005 game. how anyone ever can purposely miss a game is beyond me.

I am a Steelers fan, and have not missed a game since Chuck Noll was the coach. I am proud to say that in the last quarter century there were only a handful of games I didnt think we could win. Unfourtunately, this is also one of those rare occasions as I see it. (I believe the first one at home). I just cant see it happening.

With that said, you can bet yer last dollar I will have my steeler gear on, the snack bowl will be full, the beer will be cold, and the towel will be draped over my right shoulder. I will be watching, hoping to be totally wrong.

Here we go.

I definitely miss some games out of choice. For instance, I recently made the choice to go to Miami for the Pitt game in a few weeks, so I will be missing the Steelers @ Ravens game. That's a tradeoff I'm willing to make. I will still listen on the radio. But I couldn't imagine just sitting at home and saying **** it, I'm not gonna watch the Steelers.

Well, that's the thing........if the Steelers were playing I'd watch.

Due to injuries and suspensions this isn't the Steelers.

yep.,...the leader of the whiny ***** fan club....it is the Steelers that are available to play....

Good grief is this still going on? Don't ******* watch. Go find a safe zone away from the game snowflake. They could lose ANY game and they can win any game. Stamp that on any season with any players healthy or not. Yeah the odds appear against us ..bfd. The odds said we would win last Sunday as well. They lost. **** happens. All looked impossible in 2005 as well. They won the ******* super bowl. Suck it up buttercup.
