Odd signing at this time of the season. I wonder if he'll split with MAF while Murray heals up. Good choice to let Jarry play more in the AHL. Condon was a Nailer back in 2013 though. So cool to see him in a Pens uni

This has to be a strategic year for the Pens. They are thick at goaltender talent, and one of their goaltenders will be taken between Murray, MAF, and Jarry in the expansion draft. Jarry can be protected, if he remains in the AHL this season. I think the Pens will look to move MAF sometime this year to get something for him. It would be smart to bring a capable vet in as a stopgap if something happens to Murray. The only problem with the expansion draft, is it is going to make the Pens weaker at goaltender in the playoffs this season, which can affect their ability to repeat.

I don't think Jarry is ready either. It would be nice to plug him in for awhile to see how he fares at the NHL level. Condon is a high quality backup. A lot of goalie depth right now

Fleury can't play every game for 2 months - they had to do something, it's a long season. Every game still counts.
