Another Tomlin slow starting team?

What games have you been watching? Coats has been a collection of fumbles and flags.

He's using his body, he's getting open, he's running well with the ball in his hands. Sure he had a terrible first game with fumbles, but I'd rather have him make those mistakes in the preseason instead of in the regular season. He'll be fine. He's way better than Sweed.

I am not giving up on him, just saying he hasn't shown he will be productive as of yet. And saying he is "better than Sweed" is like saying someone is better than total garbage. Hey, where did our emogies go?

That said, the thread title (and Burgundy's comment re people complaining about Cowher re slow starts --of which I used to) got me thinking.
Apparently it's one of those things that is just The Steeler Way.

Yea, a lot of stuff I used to blame on Cowher, turns out the same trends remain with him gone. But at least one trend was not shared with Cowher teams that we have now: BC's teams usually wiped the field when they played bad teams; Tomlin often LOSES to the worst teams they play.

The slow starts are hard to explain, players not playing granted but when other teams are doing the same and look ready to play you cannot help to question Tomlin's way. POP is correct how many of us go into a game we should win easily and not get that sick feeling knowing Tomlin does not fare well in these games.

Take the Browns and the points no matter how bad they are.
