Todd Marinovich, a former USC star and Raiders quarterback, is facing multiple charges after he was found naked with marijuana in someone else's back yard, according to police in Irvine, Calif.

Marinovich was cited for trespassing, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana, the Orange County Register reported.

Police were called to a residence in Irvine, Calif., about 9 p.m. Friday after Marinovich was spotted in the yard. He was carrying items in a brown bag.

“The caller stated that there was a naked person on Venta Spur Trail,” Irvine police Commander Mike Hallin said Monday.

Marinovich, 47, has had multiple drug-related incidents. He was arrested on cocaine possession charges in 1990 and was dropped from the Raiders squad after two seasons for repeated drug abuse. He was arrested in 1997 for allegedly cultivating marijuana and was arrested in 2000 on suspicion of heroin possession.

He was arrested again in 2005 on drug possession charges and in 2007 on charges of felony possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of a hypodermic needle and resisting arrest.

Marinovich was drafted 21st overall in 1991 by the Raiders.

I thought weed was legal in cali? TM is a tragic story. Watching OTL right now about him, Strawberry, Gooden. Addiction is the devil.
 
That dude is still this mental? He's got to be in his 40's. And, in case anyone doesn't realize it, just smoking weed isn't gonna make you lay in your neighbor's yard naked. He had to be on something much stronger.
 
funny odd thing is, pre internet back in Hs or college.. We heard about marinovich and that his father wouldn't let him eat Mcdonalds or any unhealthy food and he trained like a madman

Classic case of overkill. Once his son got breathing room, he totally went nuts with partying. I knew kids like that in college who were straight as an arrow in high school, never had a beer. Got to college and flunked out. By the time I got to college I was already a veteran partier.

that may have been his father, His dad was a big time strength coach, one of the first in the NFL and that's why he raised his son with such a strict health regimen.

I assumed that's what MTC meant, yes it was his father who trained Polamalu and others.
