Harrison has to interview with Fürher or face a 4 game suspension.

Just pull what the vikings did... Refuse, get an injuntion on the suspention and drag it out till next year then retire...

I don't want to see these guys suspended, but part of me wants them not to blink and let the NFL go through with it. It'll be terrible PR for Goodell and the league.

There is no way the NFLPA will allow the league to suspend anyone for missing this meeting. It's the League trying to look tough, backing a report with no legs. If no players are sitting a single game for boutygate, then no one will lose any game time over this finger-pointing baseless bullshit.

This investigation is beyond ridiculous now.

The source has already been discredited and recanted his allegations.

How messed up is it when someone can make a drug accusation and your employer will suspend you if you do not sit down and get grilled by their legal team? I get blowing off a piss test or failing a test but an accusation? A retracted accusation?

I'm reading that they would not be suspended under drug policy but under a different all encompassing power they gave to Lord Goodell and the length of the suspension would be at his sole discretion.

If this is the case the NFLPA needs to immediately fire their president cause he is worthless in negotiating. If I'm part of the players union I'd start a movement to stand united against Goodell and threaten to sit out the entire season if the Lord Goodell will not rewrite the legal powers given to him. It's high time the players get the portion of the pie they deserve and rights they deserve as well. Owners are sitting back getting record deals for being in bed with Goodell and are 100% fine with him screwing the talent that makes them the $. The system is broke and in need of an overhauling. Send that piece of **** Goodell packing or we don't play, that's the message that needs to be sent to start steering this wreck from ditch. They gave this a$$hole unlimited power, definitely need to learn how to negotiate when they get back to the table.

Keeping in mind that the STEELERS were the ONLY club to NOT ratify the CBA. Also the owners are getting the public tax payers to build stadiums and such. HOW great is that. I could make a hell of a lot more if my building was funded by others, so my business could prosper. The NFL is all and ONLY about the $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ Get use to this as this is the current NFL. Replacing "the rog" isn't going to bring back REAL football.

Salute the nation

Get an NFLPA lawyer to go with him. Say things vaguely and be done with it. If he actally suspends him get an injunction till the end of the year. Last season, everyone knows it. Then they will go away.

I'm amazed, time and again, how little the NFL works like our justice system. It's a travesty. Roger Goodell is his own arbitrator. There are no rules or statutes on suspensions (i.e., smoke weed, first offense, 2 games; punch your wife, 6 games) - it's all "fairly" arbitrary. You are guilty until proven innocent.

I get that the NFL is a private business, but damn, employees have rights.

I don't understand. The "source" of this already admitted to making it up. Why is this still a thing? Roger is a fascist plain and simple, and the NFLPA is the absolute worst for allowing it

This is turned into a pissing match now. And Roger dodger knows he has no leg to stand on. At this point he is trying to Buffalo the players into compliance but we all know with the accusations withdrawn from documentary film any suspension given to any player will be tossed out in about 30 seconds by any competent sane judge.

Letter yesterday said if he doesn't comply, he is suspended as of 8-25. Come on James, get this over with. We don't need distractions.

Just interview. ******* drama to start the season. Soap opera **** gets old

This is all cause harrison taunted goodell... He ought to sue for harrassment

Deebo hasn't refused an interview, hell he invited Rogmeister over to his house to do it.
What Deebo should do, and might do, is this. He said he wouldn't interview during training camp, so fine. Make a public announcement that on August 25 there's a party at his house and Rog and all the NFL and NFLPA lawyers are invited. Set up some yard tents, caterers, the whole nine yards. Then post on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter all day long (as he likes to do) that hey, I'm sitting here at my pool sipping on a lemonade waiting for y'all.

According to CBS Sports, Harrison said that he is prepared to sit out the entire 2016 season if the NFL won't agree to his terms when it comes to discussing Al-Jazeera's PED report with the league. On Tuesday, Harrison said that he is "definitely" prepared to sit out the season if the NFL does not comply with his wishes that include conducting the interview at Harrison's house and with Roger Goodell present for the investigation.
"I'll do what I have to do. They'll do what they have to do. We'll make that decision when that time comes. ... I just am doing what I'm advised to do (by the NFLPA). It's the right thing to do."

Harrison, 38, was advised on Monday that he will face an indefinite suspension if he does not meet with the league to discuss Al-Jazeera's report by August 25. Until then, Harrison is still an active member of the Steelers, as he prepares for Thursday night's preseason game against the Eagles. Harrison recorded a sack and forced fumble in Pittsburgh's first preseason game, a 30-17 loss to the Lions.
A five time Pro Bowler, two time Super Bowl champion and the 2008 Defensive Player of the Year, Harrison announced in May that he was returning for a 14th NFL season and 13th season with the Steelers. The day after announcing his return, he was given a "random" PED test by the league, which happened once again on Tuesday, a day after the league threatened to suspend him in less than two weeks from now.
In an offseason that has included Bell's possible suspension, Martavis Bryant's season long suspension, and Antonio Brown's contract situation, Harrison's feud with the NFL has become the biggest controversy surrounding the Steelers with the start of the regular season on the horizon.

Sounds like 92 is just playing the game the NFLPA is telling him to. Just hope the team doesn't suffer for it.

Deebo should go to NYC, drink a lot of fluids, meet with Goodell, then whip it out and piss violently into a mason jar, backsplash be damned, until it is full to the brim.

Then leave it sitting on his desk, say "just in case you spontaneously combust" and walk away.
