The suspension is the same or otherwise he would be suspended longer. The NFL already knows he missed multiple tests. So why would they announce a 4 game suspension??????
He's been around a lot longer than just 2003
So...is Hurdle somehow at fault for Kang's behavior?
Just the player I believe. They may contact him and come to wherever he is. He needs to provide a sample immediately. Josh Norman said he was at a family cookout and they came to him and he had to pee in the cup.
Then how does Bell think he can justify missing several tests? He simply can't. Mind boggling what he put on the line here. For himself and his team.
IMO Nothing is being done or will be, based on the fact Bell is so good on the field and is so promising. (on the field) Its the last ingredient needed for this offense.
Didn't savran say at the end of regular season it's the most immature team he's been around ? Makes sense being run by a clown
The leadership on this team is severely lacking. And it has been a drain since the Cowher players retired. If Pouncey, who has his share of off the field incidents and too many missed games due to injury is a team captain what does that tell you?
While it's very hard to directly quantify, the culture of the team has a lot to do with the head coach. Some teams have a lot of problem players, other do not. Some coaches have a track record working well with trouble players, others do not.
During Tomlin's tenure we have seen too many trouble players, and once they go bad, they don't seem to right their ship. Why is this so?
It was a fake account wasn't him..
I justed checked. His twitter account has been locked down. Did Bell say it was a fake? Not sure if I'd believe him right now.
The precedence of Santonio Holmes (which I didn't agree with back in 2010) looms over this entire situation.
People that are rightfully asking.. "What makes Bryant and Bell different than Holmes?" are 100% correct. In the "Summer of Midville", Holmes was clearly used as a scapegoat for the ongoing Roethlisberger issues to show America that the Steelers don't just put up with bad apples. When he was looking at a 4-game suspension for pot, we cut ties with him faster than a bullet train. Traded him for a 5th round pick.
Same situation with Bell. Last year of his rookie contract. Same infraction. Same suspension.
And you could just as much argue Holmes' contributions to this team up to that point in their career was extremely similar to Bell's. Holmes was a freaking Super Bowl MVP if I remember correctly....
We'll see how this shakes out but you could definitely argue the "morals" (if you care about that sort of thing) of the team are declining. And the way this team acted with Holmes vs. Bell could be a telling sign.
Where I would part company on you with your analysis here is while Santonio Holmes was a very good receiver, you can find Santonio Holmes type guys in every draft. Hell, they drafted two in 2010, and the two they drafted have turned out to be much better than Holmes. I think teams know this. However, finding a guy with Bryant skill set and Bell's skill set don't come around all the time.
So, where Holmes ****** up was being very good and stupid, where as Bell and Bryant have the potential to be very special albeit stupid. Teams will give special and stupid more chances than very good and stupid.
