Your comparison model is flawed with too many x-factors involved. Its been floated that Green will be set out as a WR in some packages (Trip or Bunch I suppose) so a second TE would/could be used anyway. How about agreeing to disagree just to keep the passive/aggressive comments about posters opinions to a minimum. I think the board is familiar with it already.

I was worried he wouldn't be back or be able to compete this year after the knee injury. It was brutal.

The team is high on Gimble. Right now, the depth going into preseason is:

James
Green
Gimble

Green will move up when he's healthy.
 
I remember when he was drafted in the 3rd round,he had won the award for the best TE in college football. We thought we would have the best tandem in football,with him any Heath. I wish him all the best,****** way to go out.Only 32, good luck in your future. A member of our SB winning team against Arizona.
 
Not worried about our ability to run the ball as long as we've got Rosie Nix leading the way at fullback!

I had my doubts that Spaeth would even get through training camp --- his knees have been iffy the past couple years. Jesse James will make big strides as a blocker, plus we can just run out a 3rd OT like the Harris (the guy we signed from the Broncos) to do what Spaeth would have done if we need to bleed the clock with the running game.

My intent wasn't to have him change his opinion. This board allows him to voice it. But to constantly arbitrate another poster's opinion as wrong/incorrect/illogical, or whatever he/she deems is unnecessary. As for facts, if it weren't for posters who did similar antics like this, TMC would be still be around to educate him/her on fact based subjects, not opinion based. Even if its on another team.
 
And people argued with me during draft season that we didn't have a roster spot for Hunter Henry.....

I am trying to find a point here. You claim Denver's 2nd TE could block, but how many times did they run in 2 TE sets? The other STARTING TE, who was on the field all the time was Sharp, who was a weak blocker. And yet, they ran the ball better than ANYONE so obviously your starting TE doesn't have to be a great run blocker in order for you to rush well. And I never said coaches were idiots; I said if they can't figure out how to rush the ball without Miller, they would be idiots. Make many straw man arguments, do you? Was Denver's starting TE a good blocker? No. Could they rush the ball well? Yes. Class has ended, Recess time.

I don't know about not having a roster spot, but we had bigger needs in the spot we would need to take him. We would have had to use our first round pick to get him. SD took him in the 2nd round, which was before our pick that round. We had massive holes at CB, S and NT. Considering we signed the highest rated TE in FA, they weren't about to ALSO use their first rounder at the position.

I was gonna say, a FA at that price you'd think was starter material. But, it's hard to pin a starter tag on a guy who doesn't even know the system yet.

First things first: time to take English 101. I realize you may have only gone to a GED level of schooling, but you should still know your language to some extent, if English is your first language any how.

Secondly, you can follow me all around and try to start your ****; I honestly don't mind. But you can expect to have your teeth knocked out, like usual, every time you start it up.

It's effortless for me to vaporise you. The mods have demonstrated they don't care about board rules and you are allowed to pick fights every day, so, I will just go with the guidelines that have been established.

Now, considering your limited intellect, you perhaps should stop picking fights with grown ups as you will be whipped on each and every time.

Police said Reed raised his fists to officers as they started to issue a citation to Spaeth, 25, a tight end, for urinating in public Sunday in the parking lot of McFadden's, a Pittsburgh restaurant and bar, the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review reported.

"The officers told him several times to get back in the vehicle, but he did not listen. He smelled of a strong odor of alcohol and appeared to be intoxicated," a police sergeant said.

Police tackled and cuffed Reed at the scene of the incident, the sergeant said.

Reed, 30, was charged with simple assault and resisting arrest. He was also cited for disorderly conduct and public intoxication.

Class has ended? Straw man arguments? What are you 12? I guess I am debating with a straw man who only cares about padding post numbers. Who no doubt will post after this reply for purely selfish reasons. In any case, "I" never claimed anything other than you saying a power formation is meaningless in today's NFL, but used an example from 20 years ago to base your statement. Colloquially, that's a poor analogy. Use a better example, like an offense in this decade maybe. As for Shannon Sharpe, he was a threat that had to be accounted for whatever formation he was in. Zone Blocking, used by that offense dictated the tempo of the running game. TD had a great OLine and Carswell plus Sharpe as a decoy who was always accounted for, or your defense got burned. Ask the Patriots....Sharpe's sound bite is common lore on NFL films. Finally, I'll end this waste of 5 minutes by repeating your words "I never said coaches were idiots; I SAID IF THEY CAN"T FIGURE OUT HOW TO RUSH THE BALL WITHOUT MILLER, THEY WOULD BE IDIOTS." Didn't we rush without Heath in the past? I think so. He missed a few games late in his career and we still had pretty good numbers.....
