Le’Veon Bell don't you worry about his FOCUS.

Bell IS a Great player, here's some highlights so some of you guys remember why he is elite:

But yeah, wouldn't give him $14M, would mess up the cap too much an he is such an injury risk now

likein it yep

Yeah coach is right that guy does not run with power

I think Bell is a very good, but not great player. Bell was easily replaced by Williams. What does that tell you? When Ben or AB go down, there is no replacement. When Bell goes down, the next man up does almost as well, and better in some areas of the game.

My thinking is the OL, Ben and WR's are so good, it makes it easier to run the ball on Pittsburgh.

I do not think Bell would be as good on say an 8-8 type of team with an average offense. He's not a game-breaker nor is he a true power runner.

Bell has only rushed for 1,000 yards once in three seasons and has decent 4.3 yards per carry. Quite a few Steeler backs have done this or better.

Bell's best stuff feels for the game, pass blocking, moves in the open field and pass catching vs a zone. He never fumbles either.

I agree no more than 10M for one season
. I'd like to tag him with the option of allowing other teams to bid and take him, but at the cost of two first round picks

Give me the two 1st roudn picks, and we can spend 10m a year elsewhere on our cap.

Ask AB how he did when Ben was sidelined. After you get his answer go ahead and ask Bell how he made out.

I don't know how many times you need to be told, while Williams did a solid job filling in for Bell, Deangelo Williams is NOT Le'veon Bell. It's nice how you also always leave out the fact that Bell played with Ben for all of 3 quarters last season. That offense last year would have been so much better with Bell. Williams is not a fraction of the pass catcher that Bell is. Someone said it earlier in this thread, Bell is a legit 80+ catch guy. Unfortunately, the question is whether or not he can stay healthy. However, when he's healthy, he's definitely a top 3 back at the very least.

What's that make DeAngelo Williams then? :)

My daughter's boyfriend is an aspiring rap artist (aren't they all?) and this week she posted his rap video about smoking weed. Apart from the fact that my daughter's boyfriend makes rap videos about smoking weed, it's actually very well produced and 100x better than Bell's video.

You must be a saint, brother.

Hopefully the guy is a good kid, but I know my daughter went through a phase where she dated a guy that was into all that. I wanted to kill the kid every time I saw him. It got to the point she wouldn't bring him around. Of course my wife is with the "Aw, he's a nice boy." Bullshit. Turns out I was right.

Good luck.

Thanks. He seems like a hard-working kid though. My daughter is subject to random drug tests at work so I don't worry about her that much.
Last year my ex-wife moved back here from Vermont "to be near her kids". I knew no good would come of this.

I have been working with kids for over 25 years, mostly at-risk kids. One undeniable fact is that in many of the cases it is the mothers who have ****** the kids up.

Burgundy I watched the video and you're right him and Bell need to keep their day jobs. Video was nicely produced though. Hopefully that's all the kid was into music and smoking could of been worse

Ron, I watched it too.

I gotta tell you, I laughed a bit. Don't take offense, but I guess it's good to know that it wasn't just me who had to/has to deal with that. Others feel my pain.

It's kind of like when one of my buddies flipped his truck coming home from a bar. That wasn't funny, but seeing him relegated to the backseat while his daughter drove him around (his other daughter occupied the passenger seat) because he lost his license was kind of funny.

You have to laugh at some of this stuff or you'll go crazy.

Le’Veon Bell Says He’s Healthy, Thinks He Will Strike Deal With Steelers

Le’Veon Bell has made the news quite a bit lately over his contract wishes. But he’s already established that he won’t begin to talk to the team until he’s healthy. According to what he told ESPN today, that moment will occur at the start of training camp.

“I’m going to be ready,” he told ESPN’s James Walker.

It’s a far cry from the way he felt after tearing his MCL and PCL in November against the Cincinnati Bengals.

“I remember it was times when I couldn’t walk up the steps, walk down the steps, really couldn’t sit down by myself, even go to the restroom. I’m just thinking now I’m right back to form how I was when I left.”

Bell did again comment on the mental hurdle still needing to be overcome. Regaining trust in his knee, and the need to be tackled to really find those things out. He told Walker he wasn’t sure how much action he would see in the preseason and left the door open that the coaches may not elect to play him at all.

But physically? He says it’s full speed ahead and that his knee is “probably stronger than it ever was, my legs are.”

He’s been training furiously with his most recent time spent down in Miami. Antonio Brown has recently joined him, too.

Back to the contract. Bell spoke about it in non-verse form for the first time in several weeks. He was much more measured in his response and told Walker he believes a long-term deal will get done with the team.

“I just want to be valued. Wherever it is — whether its $15 million or lower or higher, whatever it is – I think we will get to an agreement eventually. ”

Clearly doesn’t sound like a man who is dead-set on getting $15 million per year. That’s a starting point, where all negotiations begin, but expect Bell to get a little lower than that when and if the two sides are able to come together. He’ll still become, comfortably, the second-highest paid back in the league with most speculations pegging him in the $10-11 million range.

It's not horrible, but his flow needs a lot of work. I think they layered too many vocal tracks on top of each other and it just sounds unnatural.

Experience in anything teaches you that more is not necessarily better.

Does your daughter make a cameo in the video? ...... And I love the lyrics where he sings that he just wants to make his family proud. Classic.

I will add that the overall production of the video and the track itself are both pretty professional looking. It's a great world when access to that type of technology is available to people for very little money.

I thought it was just as good as any other video.
