Steelers want Faneca to stay around

I still remember Faneca acting like a tool on his way out of town.
..

Of course, I mention the same thing and people gnash their teeth and howl at the moon. It figures.

Faneca ripped the team to shreds on his way out. Now everyone forgets that part.

Just another angry ginger head.

I also seem to remember him bitching about a certain quarterback and how he felt Tommy Maddox should have been the man. It worked out pretty well for Faneca though. Look, I love Faneca. He was/is one of my favorite Steelers of all-time. However, he was pretty bitchy from the time Ben took over until the time he left.

redhead women are psycho yet fun in bed.

I just wrote my opinion given your dislike for Faneca and his hair color

I was fine with Faneca until he left the team, all angry and ripping on the Steelers.

Yes, redhead women can be loco.

Oh, that's right. I forgot about the "Why should I be happy some snot-nosed rookie is my QB now?" statement.

I liked AF a lot while he was here, but he didn't need to rip on the team on the way out - not very professional. He is lucky they are allowing him to launch a coaching career after the things he said.

BTW, WTH happened to the guy?

he stopped eating like an OLineman and got himself into shape.

Does anybody remember the "frig". Played for the Bears including 1985. When he got out of football he BALLOONED. UP . He got so big he couldn't do anything. So hats off to Alan Faneca and his body maintenance. He seems active and handling life well.

Salute the nation

Tommy Gun was the man.....until he got hurt. I believe his statement was in regards to a rookie taking over the helm of the offense. Why would he get excited with a rookie QB starting? He had SB hopes going into the season. No one could of guessed what Ben was about to do.

Plenty of ex lineman lose weight. It's not natural or healthy to be 300lbs,

I was a huge fan of Tommy Gun Flakes, and while I can see where Faneca was coming from, it just seemed really weak especially coming from a captain and leader of the team. It's one thing to temper your expectations at that point, but it's another to all but say you don't like the guy.

Again. It wasn't that he didn't like Ben....it is just he didn't think Ben would preform like he did as a rookie. I didn't like his statement back then either, but then I am a fan that wanted Ben to start from day one.

I think it's a good move for both the Steelers and Faneca. Anything that can improve the team and keep him out of the bar scene is a good move in my book.

It's amazing. You see some of these linemen come out of high school and after one year in college, they gained 50 pounds. The amount of lifting and calories they consume daily is insane and some have trouble keeping that weight on during the season. No surprise at all that we see these offensive linemen lose a ton of weight as soon as they're done playing.
