Saw Vern play. Damn he's dangerous.

Passing skills wise though, Wilson was very polished coming out of college. I argued then that he was more pro-ready than Luck. And I was right. Realistically, the only reason he wasn't a top 5 pick is that he was short.

Vernon is a fun player to watch, but like most athlete/QB prospects the little things plague him. There's alot of **** you can get away with at the college level that will get you benched in the NFL. If he takes the learning part of it seriously, he could sit a few years and become Tyrod Taylor.

That makes two of us.

The turnaround in that Oregon-TCU game after Adams got injured was simply amazing. The Ducks were unstoppable with him, horrendous without him.
 
Isn't Trevon Boykin QB available? Lots of talent and if he wants to remain at QB sitting behind Ben and developing for a few years would be just as good for him as it would be for Adams. Would still rather have Vernon Adams.

Agreed. Hackett didn't get drafted... probably a personality problem--the guy is odd. I really wish we would've used a late pick on Riley Dixon from Syracuse. Great punter... started his college career as a QB. That sure would be nice on fakes! Stinking Denver took him in round seven one pick before us. TOADS!

Meh - let other teams train up the best UDFAs for a change. Then if there's a hole in the roster come roster trimming time, pick them off their practice squads. Not all of these UDFA gems will get on a roster, and will be easy pickings for a team "without any depth" like the Steelers. LOL

Some fans I know said the coach wasted him by putting him in coverage too much, as in his pass rush had potential.

Take it for what it's worth but who knows lets see if we see some of that ability in training camp.
