Former Saints and OSU DE Will Smith Murdered.

Sounds like there may be more to this story... Will Smith was just dining with a guy named in a lawsuit by the murderer... may have been more intentional than road rage...

Yea there is more to this than your everyday car accident/road rage...

Shooters dad was killed by an officer that Will was having dinner with?

Well That is defiantly more than a coincidence. Jack up the charge to 1st degree.

This just adds to the notion thats "guns dont kill people. People kill people" the majority of gun owners are responsible such as your area. Then you have criminals who tarnish a right for others. Senseless act of violence on the killer

Very well put. Manufacturers and dealers always get blamed. As does NRA lobbiest, however I agree the system isn't perfect, it's the idiot who aquires a gun, usually illegally, that people never seem to focus on.
That dude is a menace and needs to feel the cooling sensation that comes with the needle.

I read that too from some FB comments but it was speculation. Nothing concrete but that the gist of it.

I'm not the jury or the judge, but this guy has a strike against him just based on appearance. As said by others, "it's not the gun but the gun holder"

Salute the nation

His lawyer states he called 911 and secured a witness before any shooting took place. More to come in this one I think.

Too many coincidenses here... Smith was dining with the guy who killed the suspects dad... The suspect says he was randomly chasing someone who hit and ran him and smith was shot at least partially in his car...

Has to be a motive behind. There is a lot that can be pieced together and speculate. Or just that fact that again this was a senseless murder on the hands of a thug who's reaction was to just shoot. I grew up around a gang environment. These guys have no sympathy until they are behind bars

As I stated earlier in this thread, the police found a loaded 9 mm under Smiths seat. IMO Smith was going for his loaded gun or already had it in his hand when he was shot. People can cry and wine and act like this dude was so innocent but he too had a loaded 9mm in his car and he was going to use it before he got his *** dropped. Live by the gun, die by the gun.

Pure speculation, plus, Honey Badger is from NO, and he says it's so bad he is afraid to go back to that town. No one values life, everyone has an itchy trigger finger. Just a town full of thugs and trash. I know of a guy who got beat up and mugged, left in the streets. Another gang came buy and tried to rob him, but discovering that he had already been ripped of us cash, they beat him up more for good measure.

Sean Payton says guns are bad, m'kay?

Yea, he said you can just get 10 guns over the internet and have them shipped right to your house in a day. No ****? I wish I knew about this. I could avoid the FFL fee and background check I have to pay when I purchase a firearm.

Problem is people actually think what he said is accurate. Stupid ***. At the very least be knowledgeable before you spout off.

Sean Peyton is a damn liberal who see's the gun but not the user behind the gun. Anything can be deadly when used by a psycho person. These liberal wankers contradict themselves

NEW ORLEANS -- A fully-loaded 9-millimeter handgun was found inside the vehicle of former Saints player Will Smith on Tuesday morning, three days after Smith was shot and killed following a minor car crash, according to the New Orleans Police Department.

No ballistics evidence or shell casings were recovered to show that the weapon was fired, according to a news release by the NOPD. The NOPD, which executed a search warrant Tuesday, did not specify whether there was any indication that Smith ever held the weapon during the incident.

EDITOR'S PICKS

Pierre Thomas, who had just been out with Will Smith, still in disbelief
Pierre Thomas, who was with Will Smith on Saturday, still can't understand why Smith was killed and why gun violence is so prevalent in this country.
The attorney for Smith's alleged shooter, Cardell Hayes, suggested Monday that he believed the discovery of a second gun on the scene would help prove his client was not guilty of second-degree murder. Although the attorney, John Fuller, would not specify if he planned to claim self defense, he said his client was not the instigator and felt threatened.

The NOPD also revealed that it found a fully-loaded revolver inside Hayes' vehicle. There were also no shell casings or ballistics evidence recovered to show that weapon was fired.

Police said previously that all shell casings on the scene matched a third weapon, the .45 caliber handgun that was recovered on the scene and was believed to be in Hayes' possession during the time of the shooting.

Smith's wife, Racquel, was a passenger inside Smith's vehicle and was shot at least once in the leg, suffering non-life-threatening injuries, according to police. The NOPD also said in its news release that another unspecified male and female were passengers inside Smith's vehicle and that they were not injured.

A surveillance video that aired Tuesday on ABC's "Good Morning America" might offer a clue as to what led to the fatal altercation between the two men.

The video came from a New Orleans restaurant, and it appears to show a hit-and-run incident between two vehicles matching the descriptions of those driven by Smith and Hayes minutes before Smith was shot and killed on Saturday. Smith drove a Mercedes G63 SUV on Saturday night, and Hayes drove a Hummer H2, New Orleans police said.

The surveillance video appears to show a Mercedes SUV bump a Hummer at 11:21 p.m. As the Hummer begins to pull over to the side of the road, the Mercedes veers into the opposite lane before driving away. The Hummer immediately pursues the Mercedes onto Sophie Wright Place; according to New Orleans police, Smith was shot two blocks away near the intersection of Sophie Wright Place and Felicity Street, which is a five-point intersection.

That article I just posted came from espn.com, they deserve the credit for writing it not I. However the article proves smith was the instagator in this. Hit and run by him and now not only did smith have one loaded gun but he had 2. I guarantee he pulled a gun trying to be a big shot and the other guy was just quicker with the gun. Again, LIVE BY THE GUN, DIE BY THE GUN. If he had stopped and apoligized and exchange insurance information like any of us would do then he would still be alive. However he thought he was above the law and felt invincible with not 1 but 2 loaded guns. Sorry but I have no sympathy.

I see a LOT of speculation about what Smith did with the guns he had in the car. Better be some evidence he actually pulled one or it doesn't really matter.

Having loaded guns in a car is not a justifiable excuse for Hayes to gun him down.

P.S. I always thought Payton was a JACKASS and now he officially confirmed it. Good job idiot.

Definitely explains why Smith was shot in the back right?
