Seems like they play virtually the same preseason schedule every year.

And it is meaningless if we do. The opponent is irrelevant in PS.

Just would maybe like to see some different NFC teams. I though G Bay last year was interesting. Football is football. When you play good teams in the second and third game you can measure yourself to some extent.

And no national games so outside of Pittsburgh we will have to stay up till 2am to see games on NFLN.

Philly and Carolina are every year it seems. Other pre season regulars. Buffalo, Washington, NYG. And yeah Detroit too.

Yeah, and I think Atlanta gets in there every decade or so. Saints this year is kind of an odd one. Don't remember seeing them in the preseason too much.

Last year they played the Saints I think

Gotta try to stay close to home for preseason.

Get an amazon box/stick and install kodi. Quality isn't always the greatest but I didn't miss a game last season. Even caught all but one Pirates game that I attempted to watch (probably around 35 to 40).

Just read on a site i can't link to that we last played NO in the preseason in 1992.

I was thinking the HOF game last year against the Vikes. Then I remembered the Saints playing the HOF game in 2012--mind got all jumbled there

I remember Cohwer ALWAYS going to the redskins for a training camp scrimmage. He did it a lot with Carolina too. Enjoy preseason cause it's on the way out. The NFL will extend the season with preseason giving way.I know a lot here feel PS is worthless but I think player developement has no other venue currently. EVERYTHING about the NFL is getting more and more watered down, except G-R-E-E-D !!!

Salute the nation

The Redskins used to have camp at Dickinson College in Carlisle PA so it made sense to scrimmage because it was just a short bus trip. Then the Redskins built that new stadium and a new practice facility nearby where they started charging to attend.

Most teams used to have camp away at a college but when the new wave of stadiums got built, most teams also built a practice facility and chose to stay home. The Steelers built one too but they still choose to go away for camp.

Of course, teams used to be able to hit in practice too so scrimmages made sense.

I remember always hearing about the Steelers/Redskins joint practices. Being a youngster that stuff used to confuse me. I think it's a good idea to have joint practices with another team. Helps players develop against different talent

I would say check back Pre-season 2017 when the Falcons plan on opening up their new Dome Stadium. Falcons Owner Mr. Blank and his investors will be looking to schedule big events and Teams that will pack the house for a few years to pay the mortgage.

Why play Philly in Preseason if they also play in regular?

Only a die hard can watch the 4th quarter of our last pre-season game. It was here when an unknown named Willie Parker put on a show!

I'd much rather see the NFL have this:

1st pre-season game, rookies and first-year players only!

2nd game, Play starters for a while.

3rd and final pre-season game. Play starters for half the game.

4th week. NO PRESEASON GAMES. Rest.

Then let the NFL add in a 17th game and an additional bye week. The 17th game is the international or other city game with the 2nd bye week happening directly after international / another city game.
