The chances to pick a tackle in rounds 1-3

We have one stud, one who looked okay in his debut, and the Denver back up.

If the best DT's, Pass rushers and DB's are reaches where we pick in rounds 1-3, I think there is a chance for a BPA pick if he's a tackle. There is plenty of depth at the Tackle positon, and unlike DB or Pass Rusher, Tackles pan out high in the draft more often than not.

What am I missing? Didn't he say tackles pan out high in the draft more often than not? Your stats show OL is more consistent in the first three rounds.

he was speaking of Defensive Tackles, not Offensive Line Tackles.

I think coach was talking Offensive tackle and spike is talking defensive tackle. NONE the less, they are having open lines of communication and that's a big step in the right direction. Either way, I'm hoping DEFFENSE 1 & 2, possible OT or BPA in 3

There are about 15-18 real round 1 talent worty picks will be , the rest who will get picked are more rnd 2 grades on them, so it is going to be after the middle of the 1st round where teams select players that best fit thier system, as there will be projects and several rotational players selected who will be a year or so from being what you expect from a round 1 pick as in terms of contribution.

S Karl Joseph crazy hitter will break batt passes and turn out to be what Shamarko was supposed to be a headache for opposing defenses when roaming around the L.OS and dropping back
S Vonn Bell could be a plug in next year at SS

I would say round 3. Best DB, then best DE/OLB then best DL. If any premier pass rusher with OLB ability drops to us AND no major DB talent does, we should go pass rusher first.

being a G there is a chance he could go three, but to make it to the bottom of three, not so sure.

Pass rushers in this draft is few and far between. If they want a OLBer they might want to pull the trigger 1, other wise the value looks like at CB/DE/SS.

Which is three areas of need.
