The Steelers are doing their annual bring guys in and then watch them leave routine.

Now, that is perfectly fine. I wouldn't overpay or get in a bidding war, either.

I just wish it wouldn't be reported every guy that comes in for a visit. Just gets your hopes up a bit.

it has to be reported, what are we to talk about during the long offseason? as you say, as long as we don't overpay it's great that they get a look see

It is irritating when they bring in guys they have no real hope of signing, just as a PR move so we all think, "They are doing their best." If I'm a player, I flush out what is a legit shot at signing before I ever board the plane. Travelling, even when paid for in full, is too much a pain in the *** to go on fake recruiting trips.

Here's a guy nobody wants - a CB - bring him in, kick the tires!

Free agent CB Greg Toler left his Dolphins visit without a contract.

Despite this, Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald said he's "still on the Dolphins' radar" and the team plans to "maintain dialogue" with him. Toler hasn't generated much interest this offseason following an injury-plagued season with Indianapolis in 2015.
