Steelers contingent led by GM Kevin Colbert & HC Mike Tomlin at @UHCougarFB Pro Day watching CB William Jackson III. Dinner w/him last night

Steelers also sent secondary coach Carnell Lake to @UHCougarFB Pro Day to evaluate cornerback William Jackson

While Tomlin and Colber't record on picking DB's in the past ten years is not the best, I hope they pick Jackson

I am glad they are looking at DBs and not just there to eat. We be in denial if we didn't think we needed secondary help !!!!! I just hope they are doing their homework and listening to Dan's gut feeling on this.

Salute the nation

I want the Steelers to treat me to dinner. What the hey man?!

Nice. Db prospect

I heard Coolie sucked Jacksons dick after dinner.

This can only mean that III either 1) sucks or 2) wlll be injured in pre-season and miss half the season.

It won't be #3 he'ss under 5'11" tall and runs over a 4.45. That pretty much describes ALL of our corners

There are 2 2nd round corners(Xavier Howard and Fuller). Other than that we would need to take one in rd 1 to get a good one. Personally, I would trade down, get a third, and take the corner we like most that is left if he has value. If WJ3 is there at the end of rd 1 and we traded down...I'm in.

I think both will go in round two before we select. If the Steelers want a top 8 corner, they have to pick him in round one OR trade down to the early picks in round two. Last year 8 corners were taken by pick #56 overall. This year our pick in round two is #58 overall.

I think the depth at DL is excellent this draft. Go corner in round one, DL in 2, and maybe safety if the value is right in round three.

my man is just over 6' tall, ran a 4.37 40 at the combine, isn't afraid to tackle and knows how to make a play of the ball and either knock it away or pick it off

Bradberry is also over 6 and ran 4.46, him and howard and maybe if we trade up Apple still a possibility.

The fire is starting to burn out of control:

Text from pro scout who was at #Houston pro day: "I bet Will Jackson ends up in Pittsburgh. They can't hide their love for him."

Jackson would be one of our taller corners if taken. At 6'0

OK... How in the world does this "taking him to dinner" thing actually work? It seems that 6 or 8 team are taking some of these guys to dinner!! Is it like speed-dating?

It sounds like the only REAL interviews happen when we bring a player into Steelers HQ.

.

Cockrell is 6ft and Grant ran faster than that at the combine. Blake was short but was one of the fastest players on the team.

Maybe Blake was fast running a straight line but he had stiff hips, no quickness to change direction
