Harris signed

I still think they will be in the market for Okung or Beachum. The cap room is there to bring one of those big guys in on a 3-5 yr deal.

Labriola posted on Twitter that its a competition between Harris and Villaneuva and if Harris doesn't start at LT he can be a backup at both T positions.

why when you can use that money to bring another CB, S, DT/DE?

Cheap insurance to give Villaneuva a chance to continue to improve. I like it. Harris will have to compete to win the starting job.

Depth move and the only reason I remember who Ryan Harris is is the fact he was on MTV True life in high school talking about the perfect body. His perfect body was one of an offensive linemen so he was trying to put on functional weight. Was interesting to see what a kid in high school going to Notre Dame does in the off season to get ready.

I wouldn't mind us bring in an OLB on the cheap... Shea McClellan

The guy was a healthier signing than Okung would have been.

And he can play either tackle spot.

Solid signing for the Steelers........

This says a lot to me: It says they know the window is closing and better make hay now or be sorry. This is the most aggressive I have seen the front office in years.

Great signing.

He can play both tackle spots well, and will be a great alternative if Villanueva regresses.

Clearly. But only because Clady was injured.

Well, yeah.

Clady is one of the elite tackles in the game, but the Broncos pass protection was solid all season even without him.

That says something about Harris,

Absurdly cheap for that kind of ability and durability. Very good signing.

Good depth behind The Ranger. He's a little old at 31, but as a backup that won't matter much.

You have the coolest avatar on this board, would love to have a shirt with that on it.

Countdown until Supe finds out Harris is a devout Muslim and blows a gasket. 3... 2... 1...

Not saying Harris was no good. Only that he was a RT until Clady got injured. That's all...

From the horse's mouth.

and, yes, I hate Muslims. **** them.

This is not some unfair edit, or a quote from a year ago. This was posted TODAY.

You have a problem with bigots on this board that keeps good Steeler fans off it. That's not my opinion, it's a fact.

I have a problem with people posting political or religious comments outside of the proper forum. you want to discuss a players religion...take it to that forum.

He was signed by Denver after Clady went down in camp. Started 3 games at RT, until Rookie Ty Sombillo went down, then he moved over to LT.

This is a good signing. He will compete with Captain America for the LT spot. I expect Adams to still come to camp. Is he better than Beachum? Hard to say, Beach is younger and more expensive while Harris is more experienced and just as versatile.

Someone posted earlier about Gilbert moving to LT, thats not gonna happen unless its a dire emergency. Gilbert has been tried twice on the left with poor results and now he is a pro-bowl caliber RT, he will stay there.
