Mike Wallace anyone?

He's a better fit here with Ben at QB, but I'm not sure we're that desperate for him with Coates emerging and the pickup of Green.

Don't forget about all those TD's he caught that some were worried about. Who will catch them?

He caught a bunch. I didn't think it would be easy to replace them. Fortunately, the Steelers were able to do it, but that doesn't mean it is always that easy.

Saw it coming a mile away

beautiful.
**** Mike Wallace

Will enjoy watching him quit on plays and drop balls for them. Excuse me while I go find the lighter fluid in the house to burn his old jersey

He has one route and only one. Go deep Mike! it may be interesting with Flacco who has a very good deep ball like Ben. The two turds he played with in Miami and Minny have rag arms.

You guys are crazy if you aren't concerned by this signing.

Wallace has one trick, as we all know. But it is a scary and dangerous trick to defend.

Flacco has probably one of the strongest arm's in the league. He may even throw one of the best deep balls. So if Wallace still has the wheels, they may not even have to rely on P.I.'s...

The Weddle deal was laughable, but Wallace? All I know is we better grab some secondary talent this upcoming draft.

the thing is that he still will get about 4M from a team with a need, we can have DHB for 1,3M and help on ST too

Yeah. Lots of interest in 30 year old formerly fast wideouts these days. No way, in fact I might even venture to say no ******* way.
Blown money for the L
well you gotta eat crow after such venture

the ratbirds could want him to catch those flacco's hail marys (03/09/2016)

figured this one from the beginning, where's my karma?

Wallace.. who's averaged 12.5 yards a catch over the last 3 years? His longest reception since leaving the 'Burgh is 57 yards and one 100+ yard game since 2013. I'm of the opinion that he's had his best days, and they weren't in Miami or Minnesota.

As has been mentioned already, take into consideration the QB play on both those teams...

Flacco is average in every respect -- but the one aspect he could be considered 'elite' is his deep ball.

While all true, look at Antonio's stats without Ben. I'm glad we ended up with Brown, but if Wallace had stayed and Brown went to Miami, I bet Wallace's stats would blow Brown's away. WR's need QB's more than QB's need WR's.

And no, I'm not saying Wallace is as good as Brown, I'm sure some dumb *** would've gotten that out of what I typed.

He doesn't have the same speed that he used to. And he's only going to get slower. They're still paying him for what he did playing for us.

WR is definitely a dependent position. Wallace will probably have a better year, but I am not sure we'll see a second coming in his career. Dude doesn't work hard enough and is no Steve Smith (ageless wonder).

We knew that before this signing (needing secondary upgrade). Sure, Flacco will connect on a few deep balls with Mike, but that won't counter-act his crap effort and general a hole persona.

They can have "Young Money" and all that bull ****.

Notice how that lingo ended when MW left.

Never liked that BS.

And I completely understand the loss of speed as he gets older. But does anyone know what his current 40 is? Because if the drop in his forty time is around mid to late 4.4's, that's still plenty fast enough.

I live in Wisconsin and see a lot of Vikings games and know a lot of Vikings fans. Mike Wallace was open all the time but Teddy pop gun arm Bridgewater couldn't hit him because he can't throw a football more than 20 yards.

Teddy has a serious pop gun. You can tell on almost every pass he throws. And _HE_ made the Pro Bowl? Show you what a joke that game is now.

I was hoping we could have fit MW somewhere under our cap with the Bryant debacle going on. Saying that though, not what he just got paid in BAL. A little much for him. He is still fast, only 30 y.o. and can stretch the field. I'm sure he will burn us for a few TDs. Seems inevitable.
